The only reason I wouldn't do it would be because I don't know what I'm doing which can easily be fixed with an instruction manual.

I'd do it. I've always thought cat or dog ears were kinda cute. Nothing further than that though.

I would probably think about it for a long while, and then if I decide to do it, spend an equal amount of time considering which animal to hybrid myself with. Im honestly not sure at this point, but its a very interesting question!! =)

Im gonna be thinking about this for the next while...

Quick Question: Some people are talking about doing it for things like cats/dogs/wolfs ears and teeth/claws and all that. Would taking a strong enough serum of something big with wings give me wings? Say, an eagle? If it did, Im guessing the other less-desirable effects would increase too, such as being covered with feathers from head to toe...?

This would certainly improve a lot of things.

The fact that I'll be hairy can be overlooked.
Even though I have a dislike for body hair, a fur can be quite nice I imagine.

Absolutely disgusting. There is already a huge social inequality gap in the developed world. Something like this would only serve to widen it even further. People would be denied opportunities becuase they could not afford to purchase this serum. People would be incapable of doing as much as those who were fortunate enough to get the wealth needed to acquire it. Some people will merely use the serum to make up for their own lack of effort. Such a thing will only bring problems to our society, and thus must not be used.

As for it turning people into an animal human hybrid, that just makes a bad thing even worse. Hybrids brought about through the manipulation of genes should not be allowed in society. It would lead to a ton of discrimination from both sides. Humans would resent them for being "unnatural", while hybrids would view themselves as the superior species due to their genetic modifications. This would cause a ton of problems, obviously.
i agree it could cause a rift with undeveloped countries but to deny progress just because a % of people wotn be able to share in it is stupid, science is the way forward, progress comes through change and so i wouldnt be to bothered, i can see religious groups being but lets be honest here, religion is dying (very slowely, which is a shame) so let the past be the past and let science take its course!

oh and personaly i would take it if i had proof that it could improve my mental capacity higher then what it currently is + strength etc. if it didnt then i wouldnt because even though im pretty furry atm i wouldnt like to be a furry just for the sake of being one

I would, if of course I could hope it to not cause A giant rift between upper, middle, and lowe classes. If I could however, I would, I know alot of people who would for the power, I would do it just so I could help to better the world, not rule it.

I'd just get the one with Ape DNA and by that i mean another person who is better at those traits than i am which will leave me human [seeing as they are part of the ape tree] which will lead to me being human and being smarter then anyone else who takes the dolphan, cat or any other ones cause they are yet to be as smart as us eve if they are smart in general.

Also problem with this

"Using the serum turns you into a furry (assuming there are multiple types of serums for people who want a specific hybrid, one for a fox-human, wolf-human, etc...)"

So they stylized it which means this is all a LIE MADE UP BY THE EVIL FURRIES! Don't fall for this trick they are testing the waters to destroy all humans cause they are clearly superior with their technology and power.

Theres really nothing Morally wrong about furrys, just as there is nothing morally wrong about homosexuality. The problem being is science should try to and refine the human within its own parameters as appose to mutating it into something that can cause genetic decay or mutation like we've never seen. Thats where zombie mantis people come in.

Seriously though if you genuinely want to a furry then by all means social pressure be damned its what you want with your life so reach for it. But saying you want to be a furry simply for the sake of increased potential, then you need to do some soul searching because you clearly dont know what you want in life.

I personally, would not do it, nor would I encourage this serums use for anyone aside from people who want to actually be a furry. Id much rather see the day when genetics allows us to choose our own body as appose to mutating it to be statistically superior to its predecessor. Natrual Selection is unforgiving to the intelligent I can assure you, thats why we did away with it. (well for the most part, "good" genes still breed like bunnies and smart people still refuse to breed as much as the others do.)

You can have your biology, ill just take my sentience capable androids and be on my way.

Pffffhahahahaha

I'll have you know that furries having superior tech is an outright myth, and even then they'd more or less misuse it to utter disrepair or have the much more level-headed fringe utterly lambast the much dumber majority who can't even program effectively.

Hmm, what could possibly go wrong with this idea?

Oh wait.

Anyway, that aside, I still wouldn't do it. The "powers" you mentioned are completely worthless when I could get the exact same results by just putting in some effort to gain the intelligence or strength you need. Pretty much all you're really doing is a very overly complicated vasectomy, since it'll be unlikely you'll ever be able to have children once you cross the species boundary.

In short: No, because it's a stupid idea.

If we've come to the point where we can genetically splice ourselves with animals with a freaking serum, I'll doubt I'll need to. There will be implants to make me smarter, faster, stronger, etc.

Trans-humanism is awesome.

as long as it's subtle, like say, elongated fingers that end in claws, or mabe different eyes, shure, you can cover that up, and it'd be worth the abilities, but as has been said previously, if its like some of those other things i've seen out there in the interwebs.... hell no.... uugh... >:[

I'd retch even more if it's anything like the really horrible werewolf films with hilariously bad werewolf designs.

God help me if they'd drop the ball even lower and introduce the world to the film version of Remus Lupin's wolf form. That was so bad it's not even funny.

I think I would do it, depending on what animal combo you end up in, a lot of things can be managed with shaving and stuff, if you feel that you need to, otherwise, you might just be on the road to a more interesting life, since I can guarantee you will not be the only one doing it, so some of the stigma is probably removed by that.
