I haven't noticed any unusual activity on my debit card yet... At least VALVe were straight up about this unlike the other company that shall remain nameless. And if they want to apologize giving a solid release date for HL2:Ep3 would be a good idea

No need for such extremes! You only cancel the card once you notice unusual transactions through checking the transaction history frequently (I check the history of my account daily through online banking so I know very quickly if something is up and with my bank's anti-fraud systems ( Detailed here: http://info.westpac.com.au/discover/Topic.aspx?v=html&i=securityguarantee ) I should be fine.)

I'm not worried at all if someone racks up the balance. 0-liability insurance and a purposefully low limit ensures the financial damage done to me and merchants is minimal. Unfortunately credit cards are used for more than just buying stuff =(.

Thankfully I'm more than able to live without a credit card for a week.
