Harrassment, bullying and general violence HAPPENS EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR to someone... if it wasn't homosexuals it would be people with glasses, or a funny hairdo.. jesus christ.. if you're gonna be different in this world shit is going to happen.

Why can't you see this and quit looking for someone to blame, just because you want to be different in a world that stupidly seems to values conformism... NO-ONE has an easy time of it.

While everyone experiences harrassment due to individual quirks. Homosexuals are more concerned with a lack of rights. No one has been excuted for wearing glasses since Hitler but people can still be killed for being homosexual. It is these issues which concerns the Homosexual Community.

Now I'm curious. Running for government, easier for the hetero white guy. Getting a job, no more difficult. Getting arrested. Just as easy. Explain to me how it's different. We don't have group shouting to keep us in the lime light.. we don't have SPECIAL laws made for us to make sure we get put at the top of the pile. (infact as far as getting a job in the uk is concerned it is now LEGAL to positively discriminate in favour of EVERYOTHER GROUP of society.. which equals NEGATIVE discrimination against hetro white male.. look it up, these laws passed '08)..

I was being perfectly civil. And it's not a law passed to positively discriminate in society to every other group, it's a law requiring that people be treated fairly on their qualifications. Seriously, the only laws/grants I can name that exist to get people into work via positive discrimination involve disabled people. I never once said you were better off, I asked how it was different to being bisexual. I don't want someone shouting to keep me in the limelight because frankly I don't give a shit if people know or not. If they ask, i'll be honest, but that's different. Frankly it's the same old cry from the lower and middle class in the majority. "ALL FOR THEM NONE FOR ME". It's BULLSHIT to assume a company would hire an employee purely on his/her race, religion, sexuality or gender. Honestly. I don't get special treatment and neither do you. Whoop-de-fucking-doo.

If gays want a TRUELY equal society.. stop shouting about it...cos all a lot of people hear (and yes, I include myself) is.."We're special, listen to us"

Anyway.. if you honestly DON'T know th full scope of your legal situation in relation to others.. then there's no point arguing about it til you've at least found out.

Anywho, I'm generally a supporter of gay marriage, gay adoption, transgender acceptance, etc. Personally, I could care less what people do behind closed doors, and I don't think anyone should be penalized (hehe, penalized. That's a funny word) for it or exempt from basic rights because of it.

Looks like I am the first to say this here...

I am NOT for homosexuality. Sure, I have my odd moment of "girl on girl is hot" or whatever, but on the whole, I do not support the homosexual community. Before you go waving the "homophobia" flag on me, neither do I outright oppose homosexuality. A lack of approval does not necessarily mean hatred or fear.

For me, homosexuality = brussel sprouts. I don't like it, I don't need to like it, but neither do I bring harm to those who do like it or attempt to convince them otherwise. Just don't expect me to promote it... and you can definitely count me out of partaking.

Ok just putting it out there, I'm a white, christian, straight, male, between the ages of 18-35 and I voted for the person who represents me in the Parliment and comes from an upper middle class family, with no illnesses or disabilities either mental or physical, and is a student.

Anything else taking me out of minortiy groups that I missed? Maybe some people consider being a student part of a minority, I don't.

What I'm trying to say is that I'm right there with you outside of every minority ever.

Yeah, a lot of the time it's annoying to constantly hear people whinging, but it probably sucks alot more to have to constantly whinge to be treated fairly.

And yeah, some times the immigrant kid won an award that I think I deserved more, and maybe he did get it out of pity. Or maybe a job was given to a guy in a minority because the employer was in the same minority and "Brotha's gotta stick together" or whatever.

Who cares man, life isn't harder for us. It's hard in different (and in my opinion less significant) ways.

What I AM against is gay males who persist in wearing clothing made for girls and talking with that BLOODY ANNOYING gay accent and swinging their hips and then getting all up in your grill for staring at them awkwardly.

I'm bi and obviously for gay rights but I agree with some others that people make a big deal out of this. From what I can tell being a homosexual is becoming more and more accepted so I'd say the worst is behind us.
