Oh right, that did happen. Well, that certainly qualifies as 'totally fucked'.Hybridwolf said:They killed their last stronghold to try and stop the locust, and presmuably all thier manufacturing has gone too. So no more fancy weapons, no more uber armor and no more monster truck tanks.Sonicron said:Looking forward to it. Gears of War isn't among my favorites in gaming, but the first two titles were still good, solid entertainment.
Hard to imagine mankind could be considered even more fucked than at the end of the last game... wonder what went wrong this time.

Bashing a game you clearly don't own on a console you don't have: The main symptom of a fanboy.Skopintsev said:...Why would I be labeled a fanboy? Oh, it MUST be because i have a MAG avatar right? Grow up, I said nothing bad about the game itself. It has a laughable story, and Cliffy claims its unforgettable.

I always found that Gears shares the fate of Killzone, in the sense that there's a really interesting universe crafting the entire thing, but you hardly ever get to see any of it. Or, rather, get to see it from an "overall scheme of things" perspective - one that I would really like to get to know more of.D_987 said:Another day one buy for me; I've always been a big fan of the Gears games - they seem to have a rather unique feel to them - the story itself is typical blockbuster action - yet they still manage to create a deep and interesting universe through art design alone; obviously later coupled within the books - that's a very impressive achievement.
