People always assume I'm a guy. Even those gender tests I took online think I'm a dude. Shit, I got the 3ed highest score on Spark.com's Bastard Test. It doesn't bother me anymore & I don't feel a need to correct them.
It's the chibi Gambit.
I'm pretty sure that cute chibis & hot Cajuns fall into girly teritory.
Yeah, but it's countered by the fact that he's Gambit. If it was Ray from the Priness and the Frog you'd be fine, but you chose Gambit.

Your avatar, with no doubt. It's a girl and "Disaster button" is gender Nuetral, so your leaning to female.

I know your saying about your profile but i don't go on many peoples profiles and i think that most people are the same.

One can only wonder what might be surmised from my avatar.
Poor Bambi... :(
Bambi referred to Willy as a "killer whale" and he got offended.

If anyone should be pitied it should be thumper, he just got in the way.

EDIT: 1861, damn it, I was going to make a thread about the civil war...

Not so far in forums, but in real life its near-constant by adults who don't know me.
Come on, guys can have shoulder length hair too. It it because I'm blond or what?

In your case, it's definitely the avatar.

I usually check if it's someone I haven't seen before, and if their profile doesn't say, I just assume they're male.

Seeing as my username for pretty much everything is either "Jasonater" or "JasonKaotic", I don't get mistaken. Though I know several people who do, and it's pretty funny.

And it's been said, it's your avatar. I've seen you on one or two posts and I thought it was actually a picture of you until I saw this topic.

Yeah, I assumed that you were female because of your avatar. When I noticed somebody referring to you as male, I checked your profile to check and then edited my response. (BTW, I'm male. My avatar is a pic of me holding my daughter's feet. Photographers idea to show the size difference.)

I don't say anything, just in case.
But to be fair, you do lack testicles and have some, eh, jugs that would make any woman jealous.

His name is Robert Paulson!

I don't think anybody on the site has realised I'm a woman yet...
And a female conservative? Come on, everyone knows that all conservatives are middle aged balding men, who are closet homosexuals.

Or you go through extreme lengths to find out about them. That was really...odd.

About your gender? How far off can I be?!?

[sub][sup]Yes, I know what you meant. Why did you leave all those false clues on the internet then?[/sup][/sub]

it's the avatar.
I should never have let the photo onto the internet. Where did you even find it?

Not on a forum but in an MMORPG because my avatar was female this guy in my guild thought I was a girl and kept refering to me as "her" or "she" in conversation. Even after telling him I was male...he kept on doing it. In the end I gave up and just went with it and let him think I was a girl as it wasnt worth the effort explaining.

...in forums.

In some of my threads or in other threads I've contributed to I've noticed something weird. Some people to automatically refer to me as female. I know this has probably happened to a lot of people now and again, maybe, but it seems to be happening to me a lot lately. I'm a little confused as I've never made out to be female, hell my profile states my gender and name as male and Adam. I'm not especially feminine in how I say things so this is pretty weird for me. I think its possibly because of my avatar or because some of the threads or posts I make aren't stereotypically male. I guess.

Anyway, I was just wondering how many of you have been mistaken for a different gender and how weird it got, and how you felt about it.
I've noticed a lot of people go by the avatar. Perhaps it's looking at yours that make them think that?

I use my own face so in that instance it hasn't happened, but a lot of people seem to think I am a guy when I comment on YouTube videos. Been called 'sir' a few times on there...
