Speaking of greedy antics:

As reported by Axios, a new contract extension for Zelnick means the 64-year-old CEO will continue running Take-Two until 2029. It also lays out how the executive will benefit greatly if games like GTA Online, NBA 2K, and Borderlands get players to spend extra cash on in-game items, referred to in the contract as “recurrent consumer spending” or RCS items.
Holy shit, GTA6 is looking ever so grim right now

Funniest part is that the skirt is removable. Because of course it is.

OT: After eons, they dropped more Gotham Knights gameplay.

I mean, it doesn't look GREAT. Reminds me of the Assassin's Creed games, with how gamified everything looks with the levels, the loot, the gear, blah blah. The combat system was... a choice. I didn't want just Freeflow Combat 2.0, but everything looks clunky, and far too reliant on special movies. Red Hood in particular looks like a bore to play.

I was open for a sillier interpretation of Gotham, but some of this feels a little much. That said the main characters sound a whole more interesting to be with than Batman in Knight.

I guess that game could be reported on Steam, but not sure if Valve would actually listen to the reports. Since it relates to acts of political violence, knowing what the Rittenhouse thing is all about, it should probably violate Steam's TOS...

It should, considering Steam has removed of many games for lesser reasons/or to appease to the Chinese, and only started actually doing so, when not following through a lot of the time, was starting to hurt their bank accounts, and all the complaints rolled in. Whether the game gets removed or not, I'm going nowhere near it, and a developers can all screw off as far as I'm concerned. They knew exactly what they were doing.

I had a bad feeling about the game since its first gameplay demo. It's not coming on older gen consoles anyway. I'll just stick with the old Batman games and the recent Spider-Man games.

It doesn't look like a game that needs current gen hardware. Sounds like they just don't want the bother of porting it over to the old consoles.

I was fine with combat, then I saw material drops for each fight, and then the gear screen. Oh geez, is this gonna be like Avengers? I feel like they'll just keep adding more roster from Bat-family and Batman Inc, without changing any fundamental flaws of the game

I found it funny that a lot of these Western AAA games are doing more of the drops rates and RPG numbers, that are 3rd rate Diablo or 4th rate Borderlands clones. It's like they want to make their video games more gamey, but don't want to put any extra effort or have it go both ways. So you got this weird dissonance that makes literally no sense and they would have been better off removing them. What's wrong with the standard upgrade system that was in the last Arkham games? They worked fine before, so why change them?

The gear screen (and honestly the gear itself) really reminded me of the Injustice mobile game for some reason.
