He got funding from Sony around 2017-2018. With something like that, most would expect the game to be out sooner.

Honestly I forgot the game even existed. I'm kind of over the industry thing where they announce a game and then expect me to care when they tease it again 7 years later and maybe will finally release the fucking thing another year after that

Though apparently the new problem is now that games are getting announced too late, and most are launched in a buggy, broken, and unfinished state.

If you expect me to care about a game for that long without even being able to play it, you better be a pretty fucking amazing game and unfortunately Final Fantasy 7 already exists so....

RE2 Remake says hi. Capcom announced that title in 2014. The first trailer didn't hit until E3 2018. I would add DMC5 to the list, but while it was in development since 2015, it didn't get any announcement or news until the E3 of that same year. KH3 was another game announced too early, and the reception of that game was more mixed on the story, characters, and ending, than the gameplay front.

Since 2019-2020. Though you're not the first, and I've been done with Microsoft since the release of the XONE, me getting a PS4, and them cancelling Scalebound. Kotaku is always late to the party, or only wants to say things when they're at there worst.

Yeah, I knew XONE was a hot mess (thanks to you-know-who) but got it anyways because that's where all my friends were on. Granted, it was fun playing games like GTA, COD, or Battlefield 4 with friends, but as soon as I was playing by myself, I hated every min of it. Meanwhile, I was jealous of PS4 owners who got all the good shit like Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, and God of War.

I thought Phil Spencer was gonna do better job, and it did look that way....at first. Now Xbox just feels lost. They got all the talents with the various acquisition but don't know what to do with them; Even Acti-Blizz wouldn't help much if that goes through.

Sad to say, but I feel Kinect was truly the last time they tried SOMETHING.

These statements by Phil are really really fucking stupid.

The idea that people wont come to Xbox because they've got big digital libraries elsewhere is stupid. It's basically saying that someone with a Steam library would never buy a Playstation, or a Switch, because they already have a bunch of games. People like new things PHIL!!!! Just because I have a big library here, doesn't mean I would also build a collection of good games elsewhere.

But of course Xbox hasn't made a good game in two generations. Hi-Fi Rush is the first IP Xbox released since the original Gears or some shit. How can this idiot be surprised that his console sucks when they've done nothing with the console in the first place. An Economy of Forza games, and a rare Halo release is not going to sustain anybody. You bought up a shit load of studios Phil so why aren't you USING them!? What was the point of buying game developers if not to make games!? Explain that shit to me to fucking douche.
