I wouldn't say Sony ports are shitty per se, just really inconsistent; GOW, FF7R, and Spiderman launched with relatively few issues; Returnal, HZD, and TLOU Part 1 "Remake" did not.

I guess it all depends on which studio does the ports
I didn't have much drama with Horizon, or were the issues with Forbidden West instead of the original?

Resistance and Killzone had their Grand finale. I know Killzone 4 happened, but it wasn't that good.
Sorry, in what way did Resistance or Killzone have "grand finales?"

Disclaimer, this is me watching playthroughs rather than playing, but Resistance ends with a whimper with the Chimera defeated over the course of the credits, with numerous questions left unanswered. Shadow Fall is less of an issue, depending on how you interpret the ending thematically, but by no means does it meet the definition of a "grand finale."

Resistance 3 pretty much outright stated the Chimera are dying out and they are running out of resource. It was only a matter of time before humanity picks back up, pushes back, and defeats them. Killzone 3 was slightly more open-ended (I don't remember all the details so you're on your own), but it's pretty obvious is that it could go either way. Shadow Fall you could ignore and nothing would change.

Holy shit i am so good at this prediction shit
I posted this on my way to work so I didn't get to watch it. I didn't realize that the trailer also had a release date. Let's fucking go Netherrealms! Tease people about the announcement and then make sure the announcement is hype as fuck!

It has begun.... again.

I really wish they'd called it Mortal Kombat 12.
Yeah, I am not the biggest fan of these "soft-reboot" in gaming. Because now the game exists in this strange paradox where it is both is and isn't the part of the continuity that the fans have became to love.

Also, if this really is a soft reboot, then I feel bad for Liu; Because he has to work on Kitana all over again

I knew this would be a reboot ever since that Aftermath expansion ending. This looks more to be a hard reboot than anything, considering this game will have completely different taste on the characters, and that Shang Tsung is really young. Odds are Liu Kang went 500 years back into the past. There isn't a conquest mode from what was showing in Max's video, so hopefully they'll have other bonus content.

You are correct though. This is the third time the series has rebooted now. Deadly Alliance was a sort of soft reboot by killing Liu Kang. Then MK9 acted as a hard reboot ignoring everything that happened in Deception and Armageddon. I appreciate the efforts another round, but pick a timeline and stick to it. Because what are they going to call the sequel? MKII? You already used that trick with MK11. It just makes a conversation all the more confusing. Which MK are you talking about? The original, the reboot, or the other reboot?

I should get Aftermath actually. Because I really enjoyed MK11's story.

Oh cool, a new game in Japan Edo period, I'll take a quick look and.....

(Greeted with obnoxious music and screaming streamers)

I guess they are embracing the fact that the game is some sort of comical satire?

Can't believe this game is getting remade already. Here's hoping that it's a better attempt than the last time. It looks like they learned their lesson.

Isn't it a sequel that they're just not adding any number/subtitle?

Upon looking it up, it's their version of Elden ring, open world soul game. The first one was just an okay soul clone, nothing great nothing terrible.
