They are still doing stuff to that Avengers game apparently. Looks like most of it is fucking with the store as it continues to be a shit game trying to get whales buying into the cash shop.
Why do Square and Crystal Dynamics even bother at this point? You already started rebuilding goodwill with Guardians Of The Galaxy, don't ruin it again you morons!

Actually, in my view Square is fine. It's Crystal Dynamics that has ruined itself for me. Between botching that Tomb Raider Trilogy and Avengers, I have no faith in any story they try to tell in the future. Meanwhile, Square is making FF14 and that's like.....pretty good.

Square still enabled and allowed CD to do it and had no problems with all of the DLC content. If they actually cared that much, they would have not let them do it. Just because Square got FFXIV working (mainly Yoshi. P's efforts) does not let them off the hook. They all knew what the fuck they were doing. Making excuses for them like this is why the scummy practices keep happening over and over again.

Further proof that Square Enix are scumbags in this too, and even more so. Throwing Crystal Dynamics under the bus like that.

Thank you for the link, @Chimpzy.

They still made the god awful Final Fantasy XV and butchered its story with this expanded media nonsense. Just because they did it right with 1 mmo, doesn’t mean their whole output is great. They’re still a shitty company with a mixed track record in my eyes.

The fact that Sega is getting involved over this too, does not make me a happy person. They can screw off too. Whenever Sega gets two steps forward they shoot themselves in a foot with a rocket launcher and sells a million miles back the other way.
Even sega is doing this? WTH? Okay how the heck did NFT even catch on? The first time I heard of it was when Hasbro was getting involved with it with a power rangers product.

I didn’t know wtf it was, so for anyone else who thought that -

What the Nintendo link talked about didn’t sound necessarily bad though, as long as it’s “play” to earn and not “pay”. Having each player have unique game assets sounds pretty neat actually, but I’m guessing big publishers will find a monetizing angle to it.

That’s the thing, we both know Ubisoft and EA will find a way to screw this up big time.

Not surprised in the slightest with the list. Especially with number one.

And I bet you there still will be people saying that politics don't belong in video games. More likely, "get your politics out of my video games". Even if it's literally a political game that they're playing.
