At some point even the most extreme of people fearing Covid will stop caring about it. Because they'll have to make money to live at some point, or they'll need goods and services back and the 99% survivable virus will no longer justify staying home and not working. But it isn't just America, America actually isn't much of a producer in the supply chain line outside of a few industries. It's Asia and Europe, and Asia is already pushing to get production up to full speed, but shipping companies from other countries are bogging it down.
There's a ton of shit that factors into all of it. America's crazyiness is probably having the least overall effect outside of maybe scaring the rest of the world.
