Wouldn't that just frontload the game with all the walky talky past tense stuff and make it so you have to trudge through playable cutscenes for hours before you get to any of the good stuff?
I think that's why this mode is specifically for people who've already played the game a bunch. I don't know how I'm going to like it, but it still peaked my interest in trying it out.

Just when I thought I was out...

Apparently Naughty Dog (and Nixxes) just released a chronological update for TLoU2, which seems to give you the option to play the game in chronological order. Something a lot of people have asked about, or certainly pondered how it would maybe improve the story, but not something I thought was ever going to happen other than maybe through a mod. But now it's here. And do I dare? *sigh*
I suspect this is just because it is easy to implement, not because it will improve the experience. If a story is created to be experienced anachronistically putting it in linear order throws off the pacing. Maybe some detail is enhanced, but I doubt it.

It would've been easier to do absolutely nothing though. Loose from the quality this may bring, I'll give Naughty Dog some kudos just for doing it. It's an option, you can ignore it, it's free.

They are both too old or will be too old when it's finished. "Adult" Link should be no older than 16, but I prefer kid Link and Zelda. More interesting playing as a kid in over his head than the fruitcake with the long hair and earring Nintendo keeps forcing on us.

who are we even supposed to be supporting when encouraged to buy products?
Aside from Capcom, Sega, Square, Nintendo, Grasshopper, and most of the in house developers at Sony, it's really not worth supporting these the publishers anymore, when they're just going to do that even when a game is a success. Especially if it's assholes like Microsoft.

Now you know exactly why i've been sticking with a majority of indies and AA.

The big publishers know this which is why they're scared of stop killing games and smaller developers of games like E33.

Because that live-action movie worked SO WELL! /s

In all seriousness, while I have little hope on this project, maybe spanning the story into multiple episodes will allow for more rich storytelling. Then again, Ubisoft will also be involved, so.....

I am not even the slightest bit interested. A older brother will probably take an interest, but he's on his own. I actually remember meeting a guy who liked the Assassin’s Creed movie. It actually got him interested in playing the games.

Wonder if they'll go for the too-slowly-realizing-nobody-cares-about-the-future-storyline hat trick.

Ubisoft says that microtransactions in premium games "makes the player experience more fun".

"This is always optional," Ubisoft stresses, but players like to pay to "personalize their avatars or progress more quickly."
Remember when games just gave you stuff like avatar customization when you bought them? Man, that was horrible. Thanks, Ubisoft!

A fan-project set in Fallout universe, in a style of classic doom games.

Knowing Bethesda, I am willing to bet they will be very supportive of this project. But it is also kinda sad how we haven't had a proper Fallout game since FO4 (FO76 does not count for me)
