In general
- If an object floats and glitters, it must be a collectible or power up.
- The Final Fantasy series taking a drastic change with games after X has been a mixed blessing.
Nintendo
- Despite Mario 2 originally not being a Mario game (in Japan atleast) it introduced a wider cast of enemies and even expanded existing characters abilities in the game's universe. (Luigi jumping higher/lesser traction than Mario, Peach floating, ect)
- Nintendo's outsourcing has mostly been positive with newly created and renewed IPs. (Paper Mario, Metroid Prime, M&L, Oracle of/Minish Cap)
- That there needs to be a new Star Fox game that is played in a traditional style.
