I must say I am also in no way impressed by what this guy did in the first place. Whatever his intentions were he allowed people to play pirated games on the console. If I gave weapons to every single person in the world then I would be responsible for the bloodbath, as it would always have been inevitable. It would be far better to show sony how allowing users to upload their own homemade games could be profitable for them rather than hacking the system.Daniel Stoneback said:This guy is an idiot and I support Sony in going after him. I personally love Sony and all they put out and will continue buying their products.
Your comparing piracy a thing that makes people happy to weapons that have no good sideNeyon said:I must say I am also in no way impressed by what this guy did in the first place. Honestly, I really hate the whole "f*ck the system" attitude which is often found in my age group. It really is just a bunch of douchebags who think they are saving the world because they are annoying some random business.
Oh now I'm sure the Pirates in your avatar would disagree on weapons having no good side. Used correctly they can have many benefits, although one-sided.ionveau said:Your comparing piracy a thing that makes people happy to weapons that have no good sideNeyon said:I must say I am also in no way impressed by what this guy did in the first place. Troll more bro?
One could (and should) argue that piracy has no good side, either.ionveau said:Your comparing piracy a thing that makes people happy to weapons that have no good side

Yeah, but you'd probably be wasting your time doing so with someone who was proudly flying the Jolly Roger. ^^Aris Khandr said:One could (and should) argue that piracy has no good side, either.ionveau said:Your comparing piracy a thing that makes people happy to weapons that have no good side

He'd be very unoriginal and late to the game. They're already about a dozen of those up and running from last year.Ellen of Kitten said:I got 10 bucks that says Hotz turns around and builds a class action suit for removing the Other OS functionality.
But do they have Hotz spotlight, and funding? This is what Hotz has going for him right now.JDKJ said:He'd be very unoriginal and late to the game. Funding?! What funding? At this point, Hotz'd be lucky if he passed the hat around and actually ended up with anything more than thirty-five cents in loose change been tossed in it. And whatever he may have collected before he lost all credibility is unlikely to be sufficient to underwrite a class-action. Those thing can be a huge money vacumn. And the spotlight that's shining on him is increasingly illuminating him for all to see as the complete douche-bag that he is.Ellen of Kitten said:But do they have Hotz spotlight, and funding? What planet are you on? The sandbox of opportunity you mentioned is the PC. You are completely off base on how PC games make money.(see Steam & WoW for applicable price models)ionveau said:I dont see why any PS3 owner would be apposed to this guy, you know unless your so brain washed that only the idea of piracy would make you turn your friends to the police in the name of saving some faceless corporation a few penny's as they plan on sucking as much money from you as if your a sheep.
This is why PC gaming is dying and console gaming is growing
PC games make the most money from moms/old people/little kids/people who dont know better
You how? when i bought my computer i had games installed on it, i was like sweet i play those games then i see that you can only play 5 games a day after that you need to pay money for extra coins for GAMES ALREADY INSTALLED ON MY COMPUTER
Dont get me wrong these games where not online they where casual puzzle games.
This is how PC games make money
On the flip side we have the console games this is how they make money.
They appeal to the teenage market and brain wash them into thinking that you are a "hardcore" gamer if you spend $60 a week on our pallet swap games "e.g call of duty"
They limit the ways new software can be gotten so your FORCED to buy software THEY give you and in all that time the excuse to lock the console for licensed developers is to prevent "piracy"
That's BS can you imagine if Microsoft sold you a PC then said you cant install a software or product unless its approved by Microsoft first?
Im sorry maybe people like the simple click button pay $60 play game approach to consoles but i dont i would rather see console be turned into sand boxes of opportunity And if you dont then dont use it and stop bashing people moving forward
ya i never said PCs are bad maybe when a person says that PC gaming is dying your brain thinks that im bashing PC rather then reading the full storyChoppaduel said:What planet are you on? The ignorant, dupped audience you mentioned is console gamers, who pay $60 for shovel-ware generic brown shooter #49, or installment sports game #4753.
Anyways, enjoy your life in magic land.
Maybe because I enjoy playing games, IE: Call of Duty (Got hacked the hardest.)ionveau said:I dont see why any PS3 owner would be apposed to this guy, you know unless your so brain washed that only the idea of piracy would make you turn your friends to the police in the name of saving some faceless corporation a few penny's as they plan on sucking as much money from you as if your a sheep.

HA! After the stunt he pulled I think it's a little late to be saying that to those players who donated to his cause."...You'll just have to trust me."
I take it you missed the part where it was discovered he tampered with evidence?xXDeMoNiCXx said:Snip
