Just two guys named Dickson and Cocker talking about the today's decadence and the persistent nature of things hanging around in the internet respectively... nope, don't see anything.ScoopMeister said:Andy Chalk said:Giant Wang Penetrates Google Maps
Most of the responses to the original story on Stuff.co.nz [http://www.stuff.co.nz/technology/5114020/Penis-prank-caught-by-Google-satellite] expressed amusement over the stunt, although one commenter, Dave Dickson, claimed to be dismayed by "the twisted minds of today's youth, brought up on a heavy diet of hardcore pornography." Netsafe Executive Director Martin Cocker also warned that quests for online infamy sometimes have a tendency to backfire because "things hang around a lot longer on the web."
I noticed three unfortunate puns in the last few sentences. Can anyone else see them, or do I just have a sick mind?
Groovy, baby!Cobaltmotari said:What?! That looks like an enormous-

But I was distracted by that giant-
Willie, what is that?

Well it turns out I was looking at the wrong college, my mistake. And Catholic schools tend to be more... I don't know, well disciplined. I remember hearing a story recently about a basketball player who went to a Christian college that got kicked off of the team for having sex with his girlfriend. If you can run into that much trouble for something as silly as that, then it would have been surprising that the college wouldn't have punished further. And there's also the fact that vandalizing a place that associates itself with religion seems to be a little over the line in the same way that vandalizing a graveyard is (as in... when it comes down to it, they're both a waste of space but at least show some respect (bah dum tish)).Woodsey said:"it's also a Catholic university, which makes it kind of sad to see that a student would do something like this."
What does that have to do with anything? And why would public laws about indecency affect someone's opinion on whether the body should be celebrated or not?
Again, I'm pretty sure those comments were fake. Among the commenters were Johnny Utah and Hugh G. Rection...Raiyan 1.0 said:Of course it's vandalism - just because we're all having a chuckle it doesn't mean that we don't think the detentions aren't well-deserved.
But that one guy saying he's appalled by the twisted mind of today's youth fueled by hardcore pornography? That is an overreaction, and I'll have to ask him to think long and hard (tee hee!) about whether things were any different back in his generation.
