Awesomeness man.Andy Chalk said:GodBlock: Keeping Your Children Safe on the Internet
According to the GodBlock development team, even children raised in a secular household are at risk of being exposed to religious content on the internet. "GodBlock is a web filter that blocks religious content," the site says. "It is targeted at parents and schools who wish to protect their kids from the often violent, sexual, and psychologically harmful material in many holy texts, and from being indoctrinated into any religion before they are of the age to make such decisions."

No joke.CJ1145 said:If this is serious, then I have one thing to say: isn't this stooping EVEN FURTHER below the level of the intolerant religious types who try to keep their child in the dark about non-religious things? I mean, even those people are starting to let off the pressure, and as soon as that's happening here comes some retard going "It's the atheists' turn to be intolerant!"
Honestly, though, it sounds like trolling on a massive scale.
That doesn't stop it from being extremely closed minded and idiotic. I'm not defending blocking anti-religious content, because either way is stupid. How are people or kids supposed to make their own choices when they are kept from information? Choices made out of ignorance are the worst indeed...HG131 said:I like it. The religious and otherwise anti-game come out with blockers like the ones commonly seen in schools, and now the opposite exists. I'm just glad it exists if only to show them that it can be done either way.
Yeah well, everyone else just keeps banging on about it being close-minded; yet the it doesn't exist yet and it's got a hilarious name. Kind of difficult to see it as anything other then a prank/response!Puddle Jumper said:At least someone seems to get it xD !Woodsey said:Pretty funny.
I'd wager it's been done as a joke - let's not forget, many of the attacks on the internet and games are made from religious groups so I'm guessing it's a hit back at that.
Say what you will about the game, the marketing certainly was memorableAndy Chalk said:Is this a legitimate project, some kind of publicity stunt or maybe a twist on the "send me money" formula? Perhaps a sequel to Dante's Inferno [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/96208-Mass-We-Pray-A-Holy-Hoax-or-Just-a-Really-Bad-Game] is on the way?
You do realize that you're probably supposed to be laughing at it, right? It's almost certainly parody. Taking it seriously is like taking "A Modest Proposal" seriously.Straying Bullet said:I am Muslim and I am seriously laughing at this. Talk about being close-minded. I thought no matter what, dialogue was neccesary to co-exist with others. But apparently, this project aims for creating a line between two groups.
It's a sad sad thing to invent. I never was blocked off from any anti-religion sources, they added much to me than subtracting and damaging me. It's a serious shame.
