Green Day

I was recently having an argument with my friends on wether they thought Green Day was a good band or not. Alot of them said GD was just some weak punk rock band that just got lucky. While i'm not a big GD fan, i do think they are very artistic when it comes to punk rock. What do you think.

Never liked them, but that's mainly because of the genre. They don't suit a metalhead like me very well, I'm afraid.

Nimrod was one of the best albums of their genre ever released. After that, big-ass giant downhill slope that's basically a cliff wall but steeper.

They tend to be disliked for having 'sold out' twice. I personally dislike them, as I think they're a bunch of wankers, however they do have a few songs I like (minority, good riddance and when I come around). The majority of their songs, especially their newer songs, just make me feel like they're trying to hard.

Ultimately, there are better bands out there. There are far more, far worse bands as well.

Some of their songs are brilliant, but they're getting worse, which is sad because they made me love music.
I think they peaked with the Warning album.

I think that Stiff Little Fingers, oh sorry, I mean Green Day are great and everyone should own their classic album "Inflammable Material", oh... sorry, I mean "Dookie". Yep.

They don't. They'd just end up illiterate and knowing nothign academic. What the streets would teach them would be equally valuable, but no one would recognise it due to the alck f academic degrees.

Not my kind of music and I was never really impressed with them.

I can't say I HATE them exactly, but I have no great love of them either. If someone handed me a free pair of tickets to one of their shows I'd turn around immediately and sell/give them away.

Not interested.
