I really love the game, though I've slowed down playing recently. And there is really one main reason.

Armor appearance.

I dunno why, but I've had a hard time finding what I want light armor wise, but I'm hoping eventually expansions will fix this.

Otherwise I just group with my friends every so often, since I'm effectively gear capped.

used to be a wow player for 6 years burned out and started playing eve, I then got the urge to play a fantasy style mmo again and heard it was good, I played it and had much fun but after 2 80s and full exotics im done and its back to eve for now.

I've played it for around 350 hours, mainly on my one max level character Mesmer. They're about to release another content patch in about a week, so maybe I'll start playing more again after month-long break I've taken and level my Necromancer to 80. Maybe convince our guildies to get our weekly dungeon runs going again.

Ive said it before and I;ll repeat it till the end of time, GW2 was a technical masterpeice, with absolutely no soul. Everything in the game works perfectly, except the dungeons in my opinion which are pretty messy. The world itself and the mobs in it are all really well designed as are the public event quests. BUT.... and its a big but, I can;t bring myself to go back onto it, without questing it just seems like there's a brilliantly written story that you cant really get into, I REALLY liked the individual story quests but it seems like a punishment having to level to be able to do them. Ill admit I never reached level cap, pvp was a nice distraction, but WvW felt too clusterfucky and i KINDA got annoyed that 1 month after release, my necromancers talents still didn't work -_-

GW2 your a beautiful game with a lovely story, I just wish you;d let me in on it....

My rig plays nearly every game at at least 30fps. When GW2 first came out I found it had lots of graphical optimization problems. A big one that drove me away was that using the map caused my fps to plummet after closing it, but even then maintaining a steady rate seemed impossible even at the lowest settings.

I just started playing again a day or two ago and it looks like all the problems from launch have been fixed. Game runs very smoothly for me; 60fps with some slight fluctuations. I run with 2 crossfired ATI Radeon HD 5770 cards (overclocked slightly), an Intel i7 dual core 930 at the default of 2.8ghz (liquid cooled with a $60 radiator system), and carry 6gigs of ram. It's about 3 years old and the fans kick into high gear when playing GW2, it's the only game that can push my system over the 52c mark, so make of that what you will. Granted the game looks fantastic at nearly every setting so even if you can't run it at full blast it's a feast for the eyes.
Okay thanks for the info. I'm going for an i5 3570k. I'll be using the Intel HD 4000 at first, which is only slightly better than the minimum, so hopefully it will run it, at least on low settings. Eventually I plan to upgrade to a 7850, and then 2 HD 7850's in crossfire, so I guess that set up should run it quite nicely at 1080. Good to know they're fixing any problems they had.
