I keep my chest and stomach shaved because of how the hair gets pulled so much when I surf.

Girls... imagine this: shaved chest+shaved groin area= sandpaper sex :p
there is a thing called waxing.
and it's not that bad.
or even laser hair removal thins it out with one treatment. that only hurts when there are multiple hairs growing out of one follicle and ingrowns.

I have some decent hair on my chest. I'm sure by the time I graduate I'll be one masculine looking Gentleman.

There's a thing called stupidity too, putting one's self through needless pain for a concept is... well basically masochism (I get that some people like surfers ,and people who have to shave because of a hobby or even their job, are forced to do it to either keep doing what they enjoy or their job) and that is never good. I would like to quote one of my ex-girlfriends here "I want a man, not a flat chested girl with a dick." .

I don't shave my chest smooth, but I take clippers and trim it down. I hate having chest hair so yeah.

A tiny bit of aftershave = Problem solved. You might want something non alcoholic for the groin area... Just incase

Do people who shave it get chest stubble, that's gotta be one odd 5 0'clock shadow, if and when I get back hair i'm willing to start some grooming, but the chest n beard are staying.
Depends on how you shave it. If you shave it with a razor as you would a bread, yeah that can look odd. I just take clippers without any for fo cap (for the length) on it and trim it down low. Doens't look bad actually

Not a big fan of chest hair, but I'm damned if I'm going to pay someone else money to remove it.
As for shaving it? Who could be bothered? I take enough time shaving my face, I'm not going to add to that upkeep by shaving my chest every few days too.

Go with whatever feels natural to you.
I doubt you'd need to shave it every few days, unless you really wanted it to be smooth, which has always looked to weird to me. Funny mental image though

My chest hair is nothing special. If I could, I'd grow it to Zangief-like proportions. The only way I'd let a razor near my chest is if I could somehow make my chest hair resemble the shape of a phoenix, or something cool like that.

I'm not very hairy. I'm 19, but my facial, arm, leg, and chest hair is very sparse and light colored. The hair on top my head is thick and brown though (and curlier than expected; decided to see what would happen if I just let it grow.).

I'm hairy and I'm cool with it. If I were to shave it off, I'd just be giving myself a chore...something that needs maintenance.

Screw that.

Well, it isn't like I'm homosexual, so I really couldn't care less about the amount of chest hair on another male.

I wouldn't want chest hair myself, though(not that I could grow any. Runs in the family) Sweaty hair feels nasty.

I, myself, consider a hairy chest to be maculine and good, but I'm sort of concerned about what a potential partner might think of it.

I don't have any noteable chest hair as of yet; but judging from the amount of hair on the rest of my body (save for the face >:[), and the wee beginnings on my chest, in addition to knowing my father is rather hairy, I'd say I will probably be growing some in a year or two.

I have a fair amount of bodyhair, and I keep it all (including pubic hair) trimmed to a neat uniform length, because I personally think that looks best.
I've shaved it all off two or three times, but I didn't like the feeling. It grows fairly fast, so if I shave it in the morning it'll feel like sanding paper in the evening. Which is something I can't imagine to be comfortable for anyone.

Having said that, I do prefer the female body with the least possible amount of hair on it, and if my significant other were to ask me to return the favor and shave it all off, I would. No problem. If she prefers to sleep on the nailbed that is my chest that's fine by me, I don't see what all the fuss is about.

I shave my face, and that's it. No arms, legs, back, chest, or crotch. Don't like it? Too damn bad, you're not me.

EDIT: I keep my haircut pretty short, like a military-tolerated cut. I can't do long hair again.

Hair chest FTW. I have shaved my chest and belly twice and wax them once to see how it feels but it isn't worth the trouble.

It is stupid for girls to have to do it for guys to like them?
women in the west spend billions just to be hairless from the neck down for men to accept them.
you can not even tell me without lying that you would accept a girl who had never shaved her under arms or had the look of a wig in her underwear. No! but you expect women to just accept you as you are with just letting everything go free. you would say that girl needs to learn to not let it go au natural and take care of herself and then look for a girl who has the appearance of a twelve year old below the belt.

If women have to so much maintaning then it would not hurt for a guy to grow a pair and be willing to get a manicure or even not make their junk just look like a bush with a tree trunk. but heaven forbid you get called a pussy because you take care of yourself!

Also is your ex girlfriend looking to get some action from a caveman?
we are evolving to have less bosy hair because we do not have such a need for it anymore. It shows your just higher up on the evolutionary chain.

Personally, I do not mind a guy with chest hair but as long as it isn't more hair then skin. If a guy is a gorilla, I don't like that. My boyfriend has some chest hair and it doesn't bother me. More cushion when I lay my head on his chest.

My ex-fiance shaved everything. All the hair off himself. I didn't mind that either. No hair to bother me.

Back hair I can't stand though. Dunno why... it just looks nasty.
