Liked the music, was a blend of Halo and Mass Effect in my opinion.

The game looks great, hoping the story is good. That's always been a flaw in the Halo series to me, the story didn't really grab me. Apparently the multiplayer is gonna be a lot like Call of Duty with faster respawn times and faster combat (from what I've heard). I don't like the sound of that, I LIKE HAVING SHIELDS!

Sounds cool. And nice screenshots. But the covenant again? Hopefully they will introduce something else that ISNT flood :/

The only thing I'm worried about with Halo 4 right now is if 343 will use the Covenant again as the bad guys. I know they have said they won't be the main enemy, but I still would like to see very little of them.

Looks nice and sounds rather pretentious so we're still on course there.
Anyone else disappointed that it looks like Master Chief will be fighting the Covenant again?
They aren't the covenant, Cortana notes in the Gameinformer article says that they aren't wearing military armor. So they're simply pirates of sort.

Also they said that you will only be fighting them for the first level and then you won't ever fight them again. The Flood are also confirmed that you never fight the flood in Halo 4

I'll say what i say about every youtube video with very few views from a small channel which is lets be sceptical, come on it isn't hard to Photoshop some halo images and cut together a halo sounding sound track, im waiting for something official to be announced before getting my hopes up.

remember battlefront 3 he, you were all calling me stupid and cynical then to but i got the last laugh when it turned out the "pre-alpha" footage was a load of bullshit
Wait... What? No the song was released by 343 and the screenshots from Gameinformer, the person just put them together in a video.

Mixed feelings. The music seems ok. The graphical and design changes - I'm going to reserve judgement, more or less. It's all starting to look a bit less Halo and more "generic space marine shooter". The new Spartan designs definitely have a whiff of Metroid and Crysis about them. And, as ever, I have a horrible suspicion that the plot is going to either be recycled, or will become a sprawling and unbelievable mess.

Even so, I'm getting a bit sick of Reach and played Halo 3 and ODSt to death back in the day, so I'm about ready for another *good* Halo game.

And as for the gameinformer article unfortunately I dont subscribe to gameinformer so I cant show you, However If you look on google or on youtube you should be able to see screenshots of the magazine . Hope that helps

The covenant again? Seriously? Here I was hoping that it would be something different and new.
Like, maybe this time I can play as a Grunt and run around fleeing in terror from all the enemies.

I doubt it will get a PC port either way so I probably won't be getting it.

Misinformed person, is misinformed. You only fight Elites and Grunts for the first level, and then never again.

What are you talking about? There was a pre alpha build of Battlefront 3 before it got scraped. Seriously, what are you talking about?

Kinda dissapointed that the covenant look like the main enemies again, kinda hoped it would be a new foe :/ oh well, Music sounds great, which has been the most important part of Halo for me, screenshots look nice too, looks pretty good, I just can't wait to see how they will explain the human weapons/vehicles on that planet, there can't be that many on the crashed ship...

allot of people on the internet thought that just because there was a video up of some pre-alpha gameplay it meant that the game was being made and people started to make ridiculous assumptions before people realized it was a scrapped alpha build for a game that was no longer being made
Pretty much same video on the halowaypoint channel, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ-mmSh9yMw&feature=related seems pretty legit to me

Hmm. The drums could have done with being more thunderous and the song needed to pick up at about the half way point.

I'm not particularly excited about the game but damn that was some nice percussion. I'm not too bothered about the lore or anything but it would be nice to see a strong shooter come out.

The soundtrack seems extremely cliche to me. Like its desperately trying to be epic but running out of steam before the half way mark, so it just stumbles along tripping over its own ankles.
I hate to say it, but I agree.

Why do I hate to say it? Simple, really. Because Neil Davidge is the lead composer.

Who is Neil Davidge? Well, he's one of the primary members of Massive Attack. A musical group I absolutely adore.

Now, these are a scant few 'samples', so they're not likely a good representation of the final soundtrack. However, considering how generic these sound already I'm greatly disappointed.

Regardless, I'm still not looking forward to Halo 4. I played Anniversary. As such, I'm of the mindset that 343 is incapable of making a good game.

I mean, all they had to do was add a new coat of paint on Halo: CE and add in the multiplayer for Reach. Yet, they somehow found a way to **** it up. Not really excited to see how they fair working on something from the ground up.
