Wow, good 3d animation, but i don't like the simple drawings...
Don't get me wrong, i like watching animes, but i prefer animes with a more detailed drawing style (they do exist)

Um... I know plenty of people that love both, thank you very much. I'm not one of them, though I do enjoy the occasional anime, but trust me when I say that it's surprising how much fans of western sci-fi and anime meld together. At least where I live...

EDIT: Not only that, but I'm actually going to use this to get some of my friends that are more hardcore anime fans into Halo. They were already curious, but just didn't have a good entrance to it (as they suck at FPS's) but this may be the pull they need to get into a rich, detailed universe.

While I'm in no way, shape, or form familiar with the lore, the animation looks only slightly above average, and space marines shooting aliens and vice-versa doesn't seem especially elaborate as far as the story goes. But again, I'm in the dark about that, so I could be wrong.

What I really like, however, is the musical accompaniment, especially at the beginning.

There were 150 original Spartan IIs. Some were bound to be of the fairer sex

Which is exactly why I'm looking forward to this so much. I loved the Animatrix.

From what I've seen on other forums Halo-fans are spitting blood over the whole ordeal.
I love(mostly 90's)anime myself. But they're all "We don't want no emo Master-chief" and whatnot.

There were, before this. I don't know any myself (I've only played the 3 main games and browsed the Halo community wiki once), but they exist.

Same here, although I'd advise waiting for at least a few episodes before casting your final opinion. Maybe it just needs to Grow The Beard first.

If it's only going to be a 7 episode miniseries like the article said, it better impress on at least the first two episodes. 24-26 episode anime series normally get a 4-5 to interest me, but when it's only got 7, they really have to draw you in at the start or risk losing their audience.

Well, the first two or three may just be getting into the swing of things. Could very well be that the compelling story/characters/whatever only becomes a big part halfway through, and the first few are introduction. Besides, if it's only 7 episodes, I think I'd rather give my opinion on the whole rather than on the first two episodes.

And, if you'll notice, towards the end the number 117 is briefly visible on a Spartan's armour as he draws his energy sword.

Nah, Strategia was right, in the duel between the Spartan and the Elite, 117 is clearly visible on the armor.
