No doubt the press will leap upon this and blame gaming for the near-miss, rather than the boy for bing a fuckwit.

Lol, how many stories are you going to source from the Daily Mail?! Might as well trawl Fox News XD
Good find though, I'll grudgingly admit.

The PSP is probably broken. Those things are incredibly fragile.
At least some busted pixels but most likely a pile of parts.

As a NYC resident, I used to think that most of the people who end up on the tracks get pushed(and you would probably agree if you rode the 7 train too) but lately it seems that most of these incidents are from morons who are just careless.

Hell, I don't care about the main news story, I'm just feeling happy that someone leapt down straight away to help him.
It made me warm and fuzzy!

And cue the ignorant media getting hold of this and turning it into another 'anti-gaming' news story.
Makes you think what would have happend if the boy was reading a book when he fell down. Would it reach the news?! I think not.

nothing to do with being a naive kid or a fascinating game...that's just plain idiocy
unless it was a gameboy and he was playing Pokemon

still unforgivable, but understandable

When I read the title I thought it was going to be about a DS shoving a kid in front of a train. I feel cheated.

But yeah, I've done that sort of thing before, ie zoning out while reading and completely forgetting where I am. That said, I've never done it around flipping trains, or even bumped into a wall.

I don't understand stories like this. I admit to texting while walking(never while driving btw) and it's fairly easy to tell where your going with your peripheral vision. Maybe he was focusing more on the screen because he was gaming.
