Have you ever bought two copies of the same game on multiple platforms?

Yes, mostly because they put it out portable and with extra features. The disgaea games are far better on the PSP than the PS2 counter parts.

Mass Effect 2 I bought it on 360 and hated the controls, then I saw it cheap on Steam with 1 bundled with it and so purchased it.

Yeah I do just that. I recently broke up with my Xbox and got engaged with my PC so I had to get alot of games I loved on Xbox onto the PC.

I have both mass effects on PC and Xbox. I have brotherhood on the box and PC. There's a lot of games I share on both platforms.

I'm PC only though

Never, but then the last console I owned was an NES. For what it's worth I really wanted TMNT for the NES but we already had it for the Commodore 64. Unfortunately the turtles were slower or something in the Commodore version, whatever it was they didn't handle nearly as well and the game was far more difficult.

Blazblue Continuum Shift on the 360 and 3DS.

Totally worth it.

I will also be doing this with Shadow of the Colossus.

This mostly happens when the game is part of some package, for instance getting The Secret of Monkey Island for free with the preorder of Le'Chucks revenge even though I had it for Xbox. Just today I bought all of the episodes of Hector: Badge of Carnage on Steam after thoroughly enjoing the first episode on my ipod.

The only game that I deliberately played and finished on both PC and Xbox was Fable, because of how much I loved it.

No, I haven't gotten the same game on multiple platforms, and I wouldn't unless it was an updated re-release that I actually wanted to get.

Only one game, Star wars episode 1 pod racer. Owned it for the n64 and the PC. The reason behind it was that I thought I lost the n64 copy so when my dad went out and got a new copy he could only find the PC version.By the way, this game is probably the only good thing to come out of episode 1.

I'll raise you, I've picked up games multiple times on a given format AND on multiple formats.

Saints Row 2 (Twice on the 360, once on PC)
Mass Effect (PC x2, 360)
Mass Effect 2 (PC, 360)
Fallout 3 (PC x2, 360)
Fallout New Vegas (PC, 360)
Bioshock (PC, 360)
Bioshock 2 (PC, 360)
Grand Theft Auto 4 (PC, 360)
Grand Theft Auto 4: Liberty City Stories (PC, 360)
Oblivion (PC x2, 360)

There's a bunch of game I've picked up multiple times on one platform for coop with my GF, though. RE5 (PC x2) and Borderlands (PC x2) both come to mind, as does the above mentioned Saints Row 2.

Elder scrolls IV: Oblivion. Bought it for the PC first. The computer broke some time later, so I got it for the Xbox 360 as well, so that I could keep on playing. I guess that makes me have bought it for two systems... Altough I think that's the only game I have done so with.
