i've been trying over and over again to buy 18 cerificate games but its only worked once, i'm seventeen and no matter how much i dont shave i cant buy them without help from my fake ID owning friend.

so out of curiosity if you're underaged how do you get your hands on those games, also every time i get asked for ID the cashier always looks more anxious than i do.

That line actually made me laugh out loud.
Peach fuzz isn't working for you, eh?

I grew up in the time where they didn't card people, so I don't have any tricks to pass along.
But hey, you're 17! Only 1 more year! Suck it up, man!

Whenever I go into GAME, they just ask that I call my parents so they can verify that I'm allowed to buy it. I'm only 15.

I only have an out of date passport (about 7 months out) but most people know my face in the town by now, plus I'm not the smallest of people so I'm usually fine.

Never had major problems but could do with getting my provisional soon...

(This post was based on drinking experience and not games, never been IDed for games even when I was little, people just don't care around here.)

I ask my dad, simple as that... Even though after a week or so without shaving I can pull off over eighteen.

And I'll be 17 in a month. So I'll be able to buy M rated games on my own woot!!!

In the Netherlands you need to carry an ID with you fro m14 onwards, so people without an ID looking older have shit luck sometimes when check for certain.

That said, ask your parents, (My mother Who used to be "gaming is evillllll" got me GTA:Vice City when it came out, because she trusted me) there is no shame in that imo.

That said im 20 now and except for one very very conservative region im legal to do anything o/

I have nothing constructive to offer, beyond the fact that when I was your age and wanted something that I wasn't supposed to have yet (cigarettes, R rated movies, what have you) I was resourceful enough to do it on my own. And the internet wasn't there to help me either. Kids today can't get anything done on their own I tells ya.

Just wait a year and buy them then. I assume your parents don't want you to have it or they could buy it for you.

It's been a few years since I was too young to buy M rated games (only have to be 17 here in the U.S.) but I did manage to acquire a few before I was old enough. Biggest trick is just figuring out which stores do and don't card.

The other thing you can do is buy online. If the store you want to buy from has gift cards then you don't even need a credit card. Just go to the store, pay them cash for the gift card, and then use the gift card online to purchase the game you want. You just have to be sure your parents don't start asking questions about what's coming in the boxes that've been showing up for you if they care about you getting M rated stuff.

When I was underage, which was a few years ago, stores didn't care about age so much, so I didn't have to worry about it. Sucks to be you.

I don't get ID'd anymore, as I look about 25. I used to have to carry one (a real one) around for pubs and the like, but no longer.

You probably had 'the look' before, cashiers can spot it a mile away when someone is trying to buy something they shouldn't, their eyes are always open just that little bit more than they should be and they fidget too much.

Once you're 18 it stops, hence no more ID checks.

When I was 17 I always used to just feign disinterest, if asked I'd play the lazy student, root about in my pockets and say I'd left my driving licence at home. Worked every time, being 6 ft 2 and stubbly might have helped...
