I'm only 18 now, but I've had a 20 year old once ask me to buy him beer, but at the time I had a full beard.

I would just get my parents to buy me those games when I was your age. Then again a lot of game store didn't care and would sell to anyone who looked the part. But nowadays being old enough (yet still lacking and ID) I rely on my trusty passport to get me some mature rated games.

here in MX you can pretty much go into a bar and get drunk since age 15... obviously only in bad bars, but hey, i am 23 and i was required to get my ID in a bar (a fancy one) once, i didn´t knew if i had to feel flathered or insulted i did said "Oh, i dont have one but i can show you my ass and you can confirm i have enough hair to be over 18" he just laughed and sent me in haha. (not that i have a hairy ass mind you, but it was funny none the less) and before whenever i got asked for my ID i would just ignore them and keep walking, or act insulted

as for your problem, just ask your dad and tell him to confirm you have permission to buy the game

Surely if you're 17 you have at least one 18 year old friend who can get it for you? If not then try asking your parents? Or buy online, games are almost always cheaper online anyway.
