I would rather see this as a movie than a game. A sort of 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep'/'Blade Runner' with a pinch of 'Ghost in the Shell' and the Geth from Mass Effect thing.
Agreed highly, and my part is done, message sent.craftomega said:After watching the tech demo "Kara". Quantic Dream has stated that is will not be made into a game. And Kara only exists as the tech demo.
Personally I think this is a mistake. The idea of making a game like Heavy Rain based around a sentient Ai is... well something that really needs to be done.
What i am asking you to do is, if you agree, to send Quantic Dream a email stating that Kara should be reconsidered for production.

Indeed. From a playthrough I watched, while Heavy Rain look incredible, there were more holes in Heavy Rain than holes in a wire-strainer...Smertnik said:Hopefully QD's writing will match the visuals in their next game for once.
Pretty much exactly what I was thinking while watching this. They did a very good job on the face face, but it isn't even a real tech demo in my eyes.Hammeroj said:A nice little film. On the technical side, this shows us nothing, really. It's limited to a couple of a handful of models, nothing too power consuming. The smaller the scale, the easier it is to do good graphics. Show me something bigger, and then we might start talking about how this is making good progress on the PS3.
In the meanwhile, I'll stick to something that's actually jawdropping as an example of real-time graphics.
