Read the book, it was decent, but the writing was incredibly flimsy, it had numerous plot holes, but hey, it was a good distraction and it gave me something to do. I'll give it 3/5 max.

The movie however, I found it horrible. The acting, the actors and the characters... The movie I find is overrated and incredibly dull, I'll even argue that it's the worst book to movie adaptation this year.

I'm a tad horrified that Kojima would like it...then again his writing is a tad bit excessive.

I respect that everyone has a right to an opinion, but still, the very concept of the book makes me cringe. I mean, vampires that SPARKLE? Really? As a fan of supernatural-based stuff, for me, this seems like a step down.

I'm curious. How many people who hate the books have actually read them? (I haven't read them and don't plan to, but I won't hate it until I have read them). Bandwagon much? "OH MY GOD, KOJIMA LIKES TWILIGHT! HE SUCKS NOW! I DENOUNCE METAL GEAR FROM MY COLLECTION!" Right?

So, Kojima. Vamp is dead for real, right? Don't bring in a sparkly replacement (half tongue-in-cheek).

Well, I know a lot of people who hate it but have never actually read the books or watched the movie. Not wanting to be one of them, I attempted to read the book and see if all this bile was really justified.

It was.

Stephanie "I LOVE ADJECTIVES" Myers cannot, I repeat, CANNOT write worth a damn.

And that makes it all the more fun for people like Cleolinda Jones to rip it apart. The first time I began reading her recaps of Twilight I was laughing so hard I cried.

Twilight is something that is "cool to hate". 80% of haters haven't read or watched it. I've read it, hated it, but I'm not very vocal about it. I can see how it appeals to a certain demographic, but to me it was atrocious.

Fanfiction is almost objectively bad, though. It's essentially stealing characters, settings and ideas, and just pasting a plot over it.
