Oh they can f*ck right off. How crass. How cynical. How perfectly precious. The only way a marketing campaign can be more cringe-worthy is if it's run by EA.
Or if they continue sending letters.

Still better PR ideas than anything EA has done recently or anything that Bobby Kotick has said at all.

I could imagine a letter like this coming from a game like Bulletstorm which was marketed as way over the top, for this game it just sounds bad.
I couldn't agree more... This just seems quite out of place.

High Voltage also made the video game iteration of White Men Can't Jump.

Granted, that was a decade and a half ago, but it's true.

They want to claim that a Sega game on the Wii will be the greatest game of all time? Why don't they just claim "it will actually be a good Wii game"? That goal might actually be achievable.

Am I the only one here thinking its just a harmless joke?
Same here. Methinks people here just don't have a sense of humor and/or are so butthurt over a conceited email that they have to go on the defensive.

I found this email hilarious. Hilarious in a good sense.

It must be hard to get any sort of interesting marketing/PR these days, but this makes them come off as a bunch of pretentious twats.

And considering the quality of the original, this would likely be far more appropriate.
They're gonna need to make a serious apology when this game ends up being worse then the first :p

Oh, Yahtzee's gonna havefun with this one.
Oh yeah, this'll be one of the best ZPs yet.
Good thing they didn't send HIM a personalized sorry-we're-awesome letter or we'd've heard the explosion from here.
Good gravy no...I live in Alabama and an explosion that large could only be accomplished by Yahtzee playing online multiplayer...a sentiment I share.

No this would not cause an explosion, but a soft, quiet fizzle...as he plots an entire video to it. See, Yahtzee, like me, is deadliest when he takes crap quietly.

Well this letter holds less weight than Michael Pachters words and will probably be about as accurate.

Came off a little hateful, but how concieted do you have to be to make this letter in the first place?

I don't get why people are talking trash about the game already a month before its release, especially given the #1 problem I hear most people cite with the Wii: lack of serious third-party support. I know most third-parties don't really take the Wii seriously, but if we automatically can the efforts to actually produce a good third-party Wii game and nobody buys it, what does that say to developers? It's just discouraging them from even trying. If we ever want to have an awesome third-party Wii title, we should encourage efforts like this moderately and push devs to do more and try new, innovative things with it to find a great gaming experience, not laugh off any attempt as if it were some joke. Will Conduit 2 be great? Probably not. It may very well be good though, and I say we should at least give the devs credit for taking the Wii seriously and trying to provide good "hardcore" third-party titles for it, which is more than can be said for most.

Well they started out well but then turned into a 10 year old.

I guess for a Wii title it seems quite good, but in the real world that game is about 8 years behind.

I found the letter quite comical actually, it was sent as a joke, I don't see why so many people are giving this so much hate. Sure if you take it seriously they come off as arrogant jerks, but it isn't meant to be taken seriously...
At least I hope not.
