America. Anything else feels too long-winded or out of place.
But then again, i say the UK when talking about my country, rather than England. Maybe Americans mainly say US or USA when referring to their country as well. Maybe it's a native thing.
Usually, I say "America" unconsciously... in the context of comparison with any other part of "the Americas" (from northern Canada/Greenland to southern Chile/Argentina) I say "the US"
