Well as i'm a worst multiplayer-player i take a beating from anyone that has even seen a game but havent played it im a noob/newb so i take a beating from unisex and it doesn't bother me that even a granny whose sits at granddoughters(i don't know how to spell it right) PC to HS me at counter strike... (lame isn't it...)
Don't care, even is she were to gloat on my headset. Gamers are a society of there own, everyone gloats. here is a example.
I would be playing Space Marines and I would almost always be in the top 3 kill/death ratio and some chick actually gloating how she beat me in that ratio and she gloating for almost a hour and sent private messages. All I said was "good game". It is about keeping your cool, who knows what their life is like on there end. So what, shit happens, move on.

If it's a game or genre I know I don't really like, eh. I have no strong feelings either way. But if it's Armored Core or something I like to think I'm good at, I am very competitive and will improve in order to destroy you.

It feels no different from any other defeat. I grew up gaming with my sister and I am not a neanderthal. Hell, I game with my girlfriend, I game with the fine ladies of LUGS, I just game. Seems that most people are reacting in the same manner.

For me it really depends. I think for the most part I treat it normally. I know where I'm weak at (Reactionary games) and my strengths (strategy games). Now if I get beat by a girl on a reactionary game like fps or fighting games then oh well, also cool, a gamer girl. If I get beat by a girl in a strategy game like starcraft 2 or DotA2, I think I'll first and formost, be sad. Then shortly it'll be followed by me fanboying over that for a lil while or get supremely irritated depending on how badly the person is rubbing it in... actually I think that's true for both genders. I think it just stands out a bit more, for me anyway if I lost to a chick.
