How short is too short?

Well, no skirt or pair of shorts are technically too short. You wear what you wear, and like what you like.

But, for me to take a girl, or a boy, seriously. The skirt/short needs to be no shorter than above the knees.
I can promise you that nobody really wants to see my hairy-ass legs up to my crotch.

Well, it was okay at first, a few girls wearing it. But then the head of Sixth Form (a dull, uncharasmatic lump of coal of a woman who should have never been put in a position that required her to talk to people (she's so stupidly bad at motivating people)) saw that the girls in the younger, uniformed years (our school is year 1 through to Sixth Form, with only Sixth Form having no uniform) wearing 'innappropriate' clothing such as this. Deciding that it was the girls in Sixth Form that were inspiring such deviation (because, of course, it couldn't be that both sets of girls got the idea from the current NATIONAL fashion trend (to be fair, this silly woman has never heard of fashion...or taste...or how to be pleasant) and banned it.

I actually don't think shorts can be short enough. My reason may not be what you are expecting though. I find that woman who walk around dressed as whores are not the people I want to talk to, so it makes my job easier. If you are looking to attract that form of attention from men, you will not get my attention. There is a tasteful way to wear clothes and carry yourself.

I do agree with you my good sir, while seeing girls dressed as whores is good eye candy and a sight for sore eyes thats pretty much it (for the most part). I am a Muslim and I was raised in a culture that is all about being modest and chaste and I personally have more respect for a girl (especially a hot one) that dresses modestly. This is how I see it: If you need to wear short shorts/skirts to look hot and attract attention then you are trying too hard and are prabably not worth pursuing for reasons other than looks. However, if a girl can wear a full length skirt (and shirt) and jeans that arent too tight and still look good then that's the girl I'm gonna pursue.

What about clearly underage girls in situations where they could be oogled by any number of pedophiles/creeps? And who cares if they are fat? How is it that a mountain range or a peacefull lake can be beautiful, but a human being has to give you a stiffy or a wet spot in your panties to be beautiful? And it's not just girls, boys are running around with their pants nearly around their ankles and as a gay man I have a hard time not noticing the obvious bulges and outlines that only their underwear are concealing. When you start to peel your skin off to show even more then i think you might be crossing the line. Seriously tho, if one want's to wear skimpy clothes it's their choice, just they shouldn't complain they get ogled or groped in public transport.

The real problem is fems who dress this way and than get offended if anyone notices. WTF? The worst ones seem to think that they can magically be only noticed the ones they chose.

With my arms straight down, I dont wear anything shorter than where my wrist is. Gives me a few inches of room before I start revealing anything unpleasant.
Generally, that's how I think most girls should go. I went to a catholic uniform school where all the girls rolled their kilts up so that you could see the curve of their bum. WAY TOO SHORT.
And I really hated having to walk behind those girls in the stairwells. >_<

That sounds waaay too short. It's about common courtesy, the general public has a right over one person because it affects far more people if the one person can't manage to just behave appropriately.

And it doesn't need to have anything to do with morals or religion or anything like that; the simple fact is that clothing like that is incredibly distracting, especially in a school setting.

I can't agree more. People are too focused on "me me me" and one's personal rights. I think the general public gets overlooked by some.

If the girl is pretty, that actually makes it worse if they wear something revealing. How am I to not look at them? And screw whoever thinks this is weird, but; I like thighs. So all these short-shorts actually get to me. I asked my cousin once, she says "I don't want to wear something low in the front and look slutty." And I responded "Is there any of your legs that I can't see right now?"


EDIT: And if it's seriously tight clothing, then it's the same deal. Biker shorts just look like someone coloured their legs with a sharpie. If they're a biker, and were biking, or are going biking, than they should wear those, especially if they're speed or professional bikers.
And other such physical-activity related wear is acceptable during/preparing for the activity.
But walking around town doesn't warrant that.
