The only reason I knew anything about the New Warriors was because of Richard Rider. I was a big Nova fan back when I was reading Marvel.

NW is the reason I started reading old Nova comics. And really, Guardians of the Galaxy (The old comic, the new one I read some of because of the movie). They also crossed over with a lot of comics I read (Spider-Man, Thor, X-Force, and Darkwhawk all come to mind). I was all excited to see that Ultimate Spider-Man was going to feature Nova, then kind of let down that it was some new guy (in my defense, I haven't read many comics in years, so the stuff about the new Nova and the fate of Richard was all news to me). I mean, I don't mind that there's a different Nova, but I was expecting Rider.
