I hate February

So far: my computer's had seizures several times, I've been bedridden for the past four days, the fucking wind knocked out my wifi for some strange reason, my Xbox is starting to go, the cat's decided to vomit everything he eats, and Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day isn't bad by itself, it's just a day where a lot of shit happens to me.

I love this time of year. The prevailing reason: it's colder than summer. That means, bar all else that can go awry, it's cooler at night and therefore easier to sleep. I am not looking forward to 80ºF nights and 90ºF days.

On a more serious note, you can actually buy a multiport adapter for your game cables. All you have to do is press a button to choose which one you want to show up on your TV. If you plug in into the one that works, all of them should work. If it doesn't, maybe try cleaing your TV ports out with compressed air, if that still doesn't work, maybe talk to your local Best Buy TV salesman or other such person and see if they have any ideas.

No, not snow, this ICE. Yeah, solid ice on the ground everywhere. And we STILL have to go to school, even though literally EVERY other school system around us is at LEAST getting 2 hour delays.

Other than that, on the 25th, I'm going to Pittsburgh to buy some games for the NES and PSX. So it's looking up.

Ugh...I feel mostly dead.
Sick now. Have been for 2-3 days.
Can't go to the doctor's, as I have no way to get there.
I want to get Company of Heroes Gold for $5, but I have no credit card. Ugh. I hate this month.
Also, my computer is running very slow.

Good stuff, my birthday is next month, in about 2 weeks. YAY! I always get a crapload of money, so I can get me a prepaid credit card. My friend is selling me a Halo 3 360 Elite for $100 off the sale price.


EDIT: Forgot one complaint. I remembered it the second I clicked post. I am about 10 gigs overcharged on my internet limits, meaning an extra $20 I have to pay.
Good part about that, I get 60 gigs again on Wednesday, so only a day left.

I had my xbox turn off and decide to not turn back on, which I immediately thought to be a console crash, so I took out every cord, cleaned it thoroughly, re-inserted it very carefully and firmly, cleaned my power bar, manually opened the tray (carefully), and cleaned it every so carefully... only to realize that something jostled the power bar and turned it off...

Well, at least it won't die for a bit longer now, as it's very clean.

February's usually alright for me. Nothing really bad or good in particular. But I hate March. Nothing good ever happens for me in March. The weather gets all wet and dirty as the snow melts, and yet it's still cold enough to be miserable. Add rain to that mixture and it only gets worse. Everything outside gets brown and ugly. You're still stuck in that long stretch with no break from work/school from Christmas to spring, and at that point it's been long enough that you're begging for one, and the long stretch starts to affect the quality of the work I do. Religion-wise, it's Lent, the suckiest time of the church year, what with all the sacrifice and guilt for our sins at that time. March makes me actually miss February every year. It is without doubt on my part the worst month of the year.

Well I have a mild cold at the moment but other than that I'm fine.

Oh wait the water in my flat is really fucked up the hot water taps in my kitchen and bathroom keep making small outbursts, splashing water everywhere. The shower doesn't work either. Good thing my bath is working okay, but I really should get the problem sorted out.

Although I actually like Febuary, why?

I actually like February, not just for my birthday, but typically winter is wrapping up (at least in California it is) and just a few short weeks until baseball and spring start up again.

Well lets see. The weather has turned surprisingly warm so it's nice out. My ladyfriends all gave me a weeks supply of chocolate, and I had many fun filled matches in Team Fortress 2 with my friends.
Oh wait...shitty things? I guess I don't have a girlfriend yet, if you count that as sucking.

I got to say that in this moth of what must be the mating time for shoggoths, I am thankful for sites such as the escapist to provide me with entertainment.
Now for the main question:

What shitty things happened to you this month?

I live in California. Right now is the nicest stretch of weather we'll get all year. Our summers are just a hot, sun blasting time where everything dies, the hills turn brown and no weather systems are around to move the smog, which by next fall will turn the sky notably brown.

Also it's my birthday on the 28th. So this month isn't so bad to me. It's one of my favorites. It's not the month's fault you're sick and your problems could be far worse. "My game system may not work soon". That's a bummer and it downs me when that happens bad. But it's a first world problem ya know?
