I think this series is a GREAT way to expose two things.
First, D&D is FUN. Whoever has played this game knows that having a group of awesome players and a fun / open / imaginative dungeon master is a well spent afternoon. I personally haven't played for several years and am SO jealous of my buddies who have the time to.
Second, and unfortunately, the series shows that porn stars are people too. I say "unfortunately," because what the nature of the porn industry does is dehumanize its stars. The medium takes stars and puts them into ridiculous acts of submission (specifically, man dominating woman). I can't talk about specifics because this is a clean site but what I'll say is this. Personally, what turns me on most is when two stars really get intimate (like in a real-life bedroom situation). This is coming from the guy who wants to have a normal / stable relationship with his wife (who normally wouldn't like gagging, um, and the other rough stuff I can't talk about here). If you're reading this, stars, I hope you take my perspective. Deep down past our insecurities and macho-man-pride, most guys want to treat their women right because as men, they want to be treated right, too.
On a side topic, I'd like to address the fact that only "nerds" like porno. It's a human DESIRE to procreate (especially man's desire to) so it's a no brainer than ANYBODY would like watching two beautiful people get it on.
For me, watching this show makes me want to PLAY D&D. I really respect the editor for making this show because not only does it expose that porn stars are people too by giving them their own segment, but also because it's an AWESOME marketing stunt. Just look at yourself, who is watching this show, now. Do you do so because of your love for D&D or because you were interested in watching what porn stars do in a game of D&D? For me, it was a bit of both.
In closing, kudos to all the stars who had the balls to do this show and subject themselves to its humiliating commentary. Lastly, HAPPY GAMING! If you haven't played D&D before, find a fun, open group of people, a Dungeon Master, and try it out for yourself. You may be surprised at how much fun it really is.
