Nope, its illegal.
Yeah, But the resturaunt only operates 7 months out of the year, seing as it is outdoors. And I would need a steady job, 12 months around to actually get stuff I want.Treefingers said:I thought you were desperate? But it very specifically lists what those occupations are, and they are very limited. Get a paper route, make some wreaths or work for your family. There's your options. Sorry, but that's all you have available.MASTACHIEFPWN said:It states I can work outside of school hours in certian occupations. Why don't you just work there for a few months until you find another job?MASTACHIEFPWN said:The resturaunt is outdoors, and It only operates 7 months out of the year, I need a steady job, that can opperate year round.Dexiro said:Ummm don't go begging for a job if you have one staring you in the face. I never played WOW... And no one buys runescape accounts these days!Verex said:Sell your WOW account?
I wouldn't call myself picky for not wanting to work at a resturaunt that is closed for half the year. I would need a steady job.Trogdor1138 said:I'm 19 and can't even find a job to apply for around here, am trying to move out of home, have a girlfriend and am an independent film maker.
It's tough on all of us kid, if your Uncles restaurant is available then do it, it's right there in front of you and you said you're desperate for cash, stop being picky...
You're going to eventually have to do things you don't really want to do, that's life, so you should get used to it. I regret not trying to get a crappy fast food job when I was your age, school and adults would always say "it's first priority to study blahblah" and that got me nowhere in the end, personally. I should've just snapped up work I could get while I had more time to do it.
At least you know that the job is there 7 months of the year, which is more than a lot of people can say given the economy.MASTACHIEFPWN said:I wouldn't call myself picky for not wanting to work at a resturaunt that is closed for half the year. Again, The Job won't be avalible for another 3 months, You work long hours in a shack with no cooling during the blazing hot summer of my area, and most people who go there are pricks. I'm better off taking 15 bucks a week for chores than working there. I figure I might as well submit an aplication to every local buisness withen a 10 mile radious and hope for the best.Treefingers said:Ughhh. Seriously, just take the job at your uncle's. Stop being so picky. You can always continue looking for employment elsewhere and leave if something better turns up.
