I'm surprised at how many people here put 'hanging out with friends' in their top three, we need to show this thread to Fox News so we can dispell their illusions about the gamer stereoty... no, no I can't manage that with a straight face.
By the way, about the random collection of data, just put this same thread on a couple of other forums; that way you can say you have a nice wide data set for your work, while still being able to suggest improvements for truley random collection in your review.

- Browsing the Internet (note that I spend a lot of my time watching anime and reading manga, so it's almost like watching tv/reading, but tv and books aren't my preferred media.)
- Playing Video Games (though I haven't been doing it much recently.)
- Other (please state) I spend some time on hobbies like painting miniatures, drawing and making random stuff. I also play instruments.
I had a bit of a hard time filling out this, since I seem to spend less and less time on the things I used to do. I still consider these things activities I like to spend my free time doing, but these days, the vast majority of my free time is spent on browsing the internet. You might actually want to disregard the other points on my list.

I feel your pain, by the way. Did a similar research for the sake of research course and needed 2 groups to compare. Delegated finding the other group to somebody else and he interviewed *only* people who said they played computer games. That was kind of pointless.
