I wish we had sexy accents over here. Canada is said to have some of the most neutral accents, even if I travel I can't seduce with just the sultry sound of my voice ever now!
They still sell it here. So... IN YO FACE! Bam!Frequen-Z said:I was going to say something along the lines of Firearm laws or related things, but I'll be damned if you haven't rekindled my desire for Vanilla Coke. They stopped selling it here in the UK years ago even though I loved itNazz3 said:It used to be Coke Cherry. But they came recently here![]()
Apparently some do though, for example New Zealand, but I'm not very sure though.Ekit said:I wish we had a competent police over here. Not sure which country does though...
We've had those peanut filled M&M's here in Germany since... errr... to be honest, ever since I can think. Gimme a sec here.Tipsy Giant said:I live in England too and i'm jealous of their peanut filled M&Ms, but I wouldn't swap all our proper coco chocolate for them
Well I don't know where you have been traveling, but we do get Cadburys in the US. I'm in the Midwest. It is expensive, but definitely worth it. Though it is most common to find it during Easter.CakeDragon said:I agree, that's one thing I'm glad we have over here - sweet chocolate. Cadburys tastes sooo good after you come back from a country where there isn't any.Tipsy Giant said:I live in England too and i'm jealous of their peanut filled M&Ms, but I wouldn't swap all our proper coco chocolate for themCakeDragon said:I have just eaten a Twinkie. I live in central England.
Ooohhh I wish they sold Twinkies for cheap in England..! I found some but they were being sold for £2.50 each (that translates to about $3.80 in America). Per Twinkie!? How ridiculous.
What I have to do is when I find out someone is going to America, plead with them to bring some back with them. Is that too much to ask?? They're so tasty and I enjoy them so much, it's frustrating that once I eat them all I have to wait ages for some more.
Anyway, before I get into a massive sulk (I only have one left), is there something you can't get or do where you live?
Cinemas do sell beer and other "soft" alcoholic beverages, fast food outlets used to in the 90ies, but don't do it anymore (no idea if it's forbidden now though), at least concerning Germany.Stephanos132 said:So far, the one thing I can think of is that fast food outlets and cinemas in countries like Germany and France can and do sell alcoholic beverages, but I've yet to find such an establishment here in Blighty.
That sounds more like one of those speciality imported sweet shops. Is there one in Southampton now? Whereabouts?BubbaJeff said:Woot, Sarfampton. I think i know where you're thinking of, and they do a load of US imports (like Mountain Dew, but also things like Lucky Charms, Nerdz etc) so i don't think that really counts - they put a massive markup on it, a box of Lucky Charms'll set you back about 13 quid if i remember rightly.SonicWaffle said:Whereabouts do you live? The last time I saw Mountain Dew was in Southampton, a few crates of it stacked on the shelf of an offie.
Have you had Mountain Dew? Because it's not that good. It's basically just Sprite with less lemon and more sugar.EMFCRACKSHOT said:It would be nice to get taco bell and mountain dew here in the UK. I also want twinkies XD
lousy americans hogging all the good stuff
