Thirdly, I would most definitely like to hear an album based on the theme of 'Janky' with all songs performed by Ice-T, Mr. T, Kanye and Yahtzee.
Anyone else thinking we should post that this is really happening around the internet until the people involved hear about it, get in contact about how silly it is then decide to do it anyway?

Ice-T:"This be Janky,
Medal of Honour multiplayer is stanky,
Gonna tweet it coz I'm getting cranky,
Wasn't on the ball and mofo's flanked me."

Mr. T:"Listen up fool! Treat your mother right!
Or a Knight-Elf Mohawk will be messing up your night!
I've been playing MoH and I think it's janky too!
I ain't getting on no game who's multiplayer is a fool!"

Kanye:"Yo MoH, I'mma let you finish,
But your online beta's got a lot of problems with it,
T and T say janky and I think that they be right,
How am I supposed to win this online janky fight?"

Yahtzee:"Erm...janky?"
The single greatest thing to incorporate those four men ever created.

Wow, seems some people here don't like Rap... To the point that a poster stated that he won't take his opinions it consideration just because he's a rapper. I don't get the hatred of rap music, to me it's just music like any other music. Terrible or beautiful based on the individual song and the taste of the listener.

That aside... Well he's talking about a game I'd never buy so I don't really care if it's bad or not. The last FPS I bought was Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising because I heard of how the combat was extremely realistic and such... Sounded at least a little original when compared to the rest of the market. I'm not even remotely interested in FPS any more, they are all pretty much the same game done over and over again with maybe one thing that makes them just slightly different from the other. So until a FPS comes out which promises some thing unique or interesting, I won't be paying for any. That's not to say I won't play them, just I'll wait for my older brother to buy them then play his copies rather than waste my money.

So much hate for poor ol' Ice T and rappers in general.

I bet if it was James Hetfield or George Fischer y'all would be like "ooh wow really? A prominent heavy metal musicians opinion is highly valid, so Imma go ahead and take his word for it!"

Well maybe not. But I wouldnt be surprised.

OT: Besides, if he's right I aint too fussed. My interest in online games that are not TF2 has waned of late. I'll be getting it anyway, but mainly for the singleplayer/ co-op.

Jesus Christ I would sell my right nut to make that happen.

Hey if that happened and you only had one left would it still be your left nut?

Whose ice-T?
If he is a rapper I refuse to listen to him.
Now if he was a metal guy...
He's that guy on Law and Order: SVU.

Well at least that is how I know him.

Thank you Ice-T for pointing out that a BETA 'sucks'.

Not that I have high hopes for this game. Medal Of Honor took a sharp turn towards the "Walmart $10 Deal!" shelf years ago. To be honest, anybody could see that its one and only goal was to become yet another in what is bound to be a long line of Modern Warfare FPS clones.
Lets face it... we all bitched and complained about how WWII games were being done to death, now we have "modern combat" games being done to death. The industry goes where it thinks the money is, but I predict FPS will be this eras "2D fighter"... oversaturation and the limitations of what can be done with the genre are quickly approaching their maximum. From here on, its just going to be the same play style coupled with increasing level of graphical quality. But how much farther can we really advance a "shooter"? I think "Brink" is trying to push the envelope with its fluid combat system, but until virtual reality pops up, we're going to be seeing a lot of the same.

The other problem for shooters is that other than the "sci fi" angle, which has its own complications, where do shooters go? How do you keep it mixed up and exciting? We've used all of these guns before, if you've been in one helicopter/skyscraper battle you've seen them all, breaching doors is passe', and the you can only keep limiting players by keeping the ammunition for the sniper rifle at an all time low for so long. I have no idea how you can breathe fresh life into an old medium like this. Where do you go for new settings? The World War II area has been done literally to death, the Modern Combat thing is getting old fast, Nobody really wants to touch the middle eastern war stuff just yet and even then it'll just be more Modern Combat game play in the desert, World War I was too boring, Vietnam isn't popular enough, and sci fi is inaccessible to some people because they want to shoot M16's instead of nuclear propulsion ecto-goo silicate weapons at strange looking enemies in metallic corridors. And we've tried the whole "time-traveling" thing to send people back to the past with weaponry of the present. Westerns are too niche to make effective FPS games from...

So we're kinda screwed for now I guess.
But it's not even that much like MW2 at all... It's worse. It just feels sloppy all around.

At least he realizes his opinion doesnt mean shit.

Also, Ice-T is now the foremost expert on video game quality control, I say we send him waves of games to see if they suck.

I didn't think it sucked, I just thought it was boring.

Its like they went "Lets make Battlefield more like Modern Warfare".
The result is, well boring.
It's like they didn't even try.

Sad thing was pre patch on bad company 2, I would have said the mutiplayer would have been good, as Dice were making it. Then they tried to patch the game, and effectively added several new noob weapons, made helicopter flying even more tricky with tracer darts faster then bullets, and made sniping easier...by making all the bolt action rifles the same. From what I can tell, this beta is just a clone of COD with the animation of bad company 2 and with DICEs dismal patching skills, I have low hopes for the mutiplayer.

Good thing Reach and Dead rising are here, or this holiday season would be very lackluster.

Ice-T is pretty cool on SVU, and it's cool that he plays games. (Can't comment about his music, though. Not a rap fan.) However, reading his Twitter posts made my brain hurt. I am way too white to understand what he was saying.
