I'd use mysterious diseases from miscellaneous foreign countries and I'd use some form of slider blade/needle to administer it from behind my target in a largely crowded area of course. I feel that striking in the open and keeping myself under the radar is satisfaction enough and have no urge to leave more of a clue. Perhaps something corny like a small flower or a cross.
But yeah, administer toxins to target in a large crowd walk on as if nothing has happened and make sure I'm not on CCTV or at least not seen poisoning a target so if I am brought in I'd still be able to avoid detection especially if I find a fairly decent way to import these poisons and what not.
The Grey Area- kill people, take their money, donate it to charities. Oh, and I kill them with a machete made of recyclable material.
I'd go after those who have gotten away with crimes. They'd all be found dead in their sleep, no wound on them, except for their crime carved into their foreheads. So say a murderer gets off scot-free: a few days later, he's found dead in his room with "KILLER" carved into his forehead.

Dr. Irony! I would go to overly elaborate plans to make sure my victims died in the most ironic way possible. Like a computer nerd dieing from 80's style printer paper cuts. Or a wealthy millionaire crushed from an avalanche of pennies.

I'd be the Patchwork Killer. I'd remove a patch of skin from each of my victims and stitch it to myself as a trophy. Alternatively, I'd still remove the patch of skin from each victim, and then leave a nice skin-patch blanket rolled up in front of the police station. Why would I do this? Why wouldn't I want victims to come to me instead of hunting them down?
i'd be the WTF?! killer. an armed vigilante engaging in terrorist activities against organised crime. bombing, sniping,kidnap...the works. my calling card will be a logo with WTF?! on it, and every time i strike, i'll leave a calling card behind.
eg. if bombing, the bomb itself will have a card within, or if kidnap, after killing the hostage, the body will be found with the card, or if sniping, the sniping point will have a card left behind.
