What about the splicing of two words to make a new one? Like "Fantabulous," "Fantasmical" or "Badong" (a quarter to whomever gets the reference).

On topic though, I use these words when the occasion calls, but never excessively. I find it better to keep them rare, for their rare use dictates their level of sheer obscurity.
