In Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion what do you think your character was in prison for at the beginning?

Trying to remember...think, Nord-brain, think! Uh...there were drugs. And I remember...a zebra? OH GOD. I mean, uh...no, no. I-I-I was trippin' balls. That's not what happened.

What happened was I assimilated the powers of Conan the Barbarian. Also grand theft, grand theft horse, grand theft royal (kidnapped a princess), regicide (killed the king of Akavir), homicide, omnicide (killed everyone on some island), mass murder and I tripped and landed on a puppy. Put simply: Skooma did it. As did the giant purple guar. And the flock of cliff racers with Ordinators for wings. It was their fault.

Extremely naughty sex with the jailor's wife. Those chains weren't there just to show off the physics engine, you know.
One free internet for you, good sir.

I'm always wanting to see what's behind locked doors. Putting on a lock on anything is like a putting a big, bright neon sign over it for me. So probably for breaking and entering. :p

Trying to steal and elder scroll, and killing a guard, also trying to contact the thieves guild, my execution was going to be in 3 days but the emperor saved me. And then I acomplished the
theft of the elder scroll and became the gray fox

I had the ability to enter peoples dreams like Freddy Krueger. Unfortunately when they found me I was inside the Kings dream and was trying to assasinate him.

I was born in prison. My Father was The Grey Fox on a drinking binge, who happened to knock up a noble woman/mage-seeress. As it was that day and age, the woman went to jail. I was born and spent my life in and out of prison for petty crime, until I accidently killed the nobleman who was infact my grandfather.

I always imagined that the character placed himself there because he knew that it would get himself involved in the whole saving the world malarkey; or a very roundabout way to meet Captain Picard and Boromir in order to fulfill nerd fantasies. Another thing I liked to do was imagine what my characters did while I was using the wait function. It always had something to do with their race and class. For instance, I had a Khajiit thief who chased his tail while waiting and/or did speed.

probably something so awesome it caused a quantum collapse thus erasing it from my memory and those of my jailors, who were so quick to let me out

My original character was a Nord warrior, he worked for Bowl's and Silverware Co. Sales were falling since everyone already owned the stuff, so he was sent out to steal every bowl and piece of silverware in the world so people would have to replace the stolen items. Well the Imperial's sent out their legions searching for this master thief and tracked him down to a bitter snowcapped peak. After a climactic battle which thousands died he was cornered, arrested and refused to pay the 75g fine. So they carted him off to the Imperial prison and returned every piece of Silverware and the bowl's to their rightful owners. Which is the reason they no longer can employ the vast armies they used to have or defend their cities from afew demons.

Once he escaped from prison he went back to stealing and stole every bowl an silverware piece in the land. Bowl's and Silverware Co.'s business is now a-boomin.

My second character was a Khijati. She was arrested for stealing the king's milk... right off his door step. The royal cereal went dry that day.

I can tell why my woodelf was in jail. he was hunting and saw something move in the distance and shoot it with a fire bow and ice arrow and kill it however it turn out to be a guard that got lost from his group (looking for a escaped prisoner ironicy) his group heard him die and come running then and saw me standing over his body and hauled my ass to prison.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but certain things said by certain characters when put together, you know a bit of info here, a bit of info there basically tell us that our character was guilty of necrophilia....which is really kinda weird to think about.

I killed a rich treasure hunter and his servant pinned it on me as a murder. I swear, Imperial Guard, he attacked me first!
