Uh. Did anyone in this thread actually read the OP?

The .xxx thing is OPTIONAL. For some reason, I really doubt that certain big established porn sites that already get millions of hits would want to change their domain from .com (or whatever) to .xxx in fear of losing some of the hits due to confusion.

Now new porn sites, or older ones creating alternative pages, would definitely take advantage of the .xxx thing because it's likely that there are a lot more available domains left there compared to .coms and .nets which were used for porn since, like, the 90s.

It's up to the current sites to change or not. I'm betting many won't with the obvious filter option. It is just an option, not a requirement.

This accomplishes absolutely nothing. You could say that it will advance parental controls in the .xxx can be blocked entirely, but as long as porn sites are allowed to operate with .com and .net that won't really be the case. Now, if they made it to where porn sites would only be .xxx, and gave every porn site using a .com or .net the same domain name just on a .xxx server- then it would actually have some purpose or use.

I believe they own the rights to the song "the internet is for porn" because... and dont quote me, isnt that either the original, or a cover? it may be that sony music owns it.
