Very nice, now what about the all the millions of other bullied children? Or those who were bullied as kids and have to deal with all the life long mental scars?
Don't get me wrong here, kudos to these people who helped this poor girl. But it's a drop in the bucket towards ultimately fixing the problem.
How about concentrating on the positive here, for a change? This is one girl who, because of a bunch of strangers on the internet, perhaps won't grow up to be one of those scarred adults. Rather than curse the darkness, how about praising the light? There are certainly loads of bullied kids out there, but, thanks to a bunch of caring people, there's one fewer. That's a wonderful thing. And now perhaps Katie will go on to help other kids she sees being bullied.
You can be negative, and dismiss this simply because not everyone had someone stick up for them the same way, or you can find inspiration from it. The choice is yours.
