Thanks for the recommendation, I'll look in the library for it tomorrowGonzoGamer said:There's a book called Adventures Beyond the Body by William Bhulman. Read that before you read some new age drivel on the subject.

My pleasure but don't be surprised if you can't find it in the library. You might have to go to amazon.Dr.Poisonfreak said:Thanks for the recommendation, I'll look in the library for it tomorrowGonzoGamer said:There's a book called Adventures Beyond the Body by William Bhulman. Lots of people have that. I don't know exactly how to describe it for every one but it's just this feeling that you get. People call it paranoia.Machines Are Us said:I don't know about visible aura's but I have an uncanny ability to sense when someone is near, even if I don't hear them. I believe humans radiate some kind of presence although I don't know if it is something as mystical as an 'aura' it might just be an undeveloped sense, like how cat's use their whiskers to sense things and bugs use antenna.
i can do that too .. apparently this happens when your subconscious mind realises something faster than your conscious mind does and it's translated in the form of a feeling of some sort (for me it feels like a light compression in my body) this also happens when people are watching youMachines Are Us said:I don't know about visible aura's but I have an uncanny ability to sense when someone is near, even if I don't hear them. Actually I recently read an article in a journal that concluded that light is emitted from the body in the visible spectrum, however because of the quantities emitted, and the time of day, typically mid morning, that it has up until now gone unnoticed, sadly i can't find the source at the moment.xmetatr0nx said:Well the human body does emit light, due to all the chemical reactions. Of course its way below the human visible light spectrum...dont know if that counts? We also emit other forms of radiation, such as heat.
From what I remember they used much of the same equipment to detect it as they do in luminescence dating, i'll see what i can do about finding the exact article around here somewhere, but you will probably need access to a collection of recent journals to read it as well, i'll get back to you.xmetatr0nx said:Interesting, what would you have to be in an incredibly dark room or something. I would like to read said article. Go my pretty, find it!Chimpa said:Actually I recently read an article in a journal that concluded that light is emitted from the body in the visible spectrum, however because of the quantities emitted, and the time of day, typically mid morning, that it has up until now gone unnoticed, sadly i can't find the source at the moment.xmetatr0nx said:Well the human body does emit light, due to all the chemical reactions. I like you alreadyDr.Poisonfreak said:**DISCLAIMER** I did consider putting a poll on this, but I thought it would be better to hear people thoughts directly form them, as opposed to looking at statistic.
Well, we let off heat, which can be seen as a form or radiation, so I suppose in that sense it could be real. however, being able to physically see it is bullshit in my opinion. The amount of heat we let off shouldn't be visible to the naked eye, and third eyes aren't real so we can throw out being able to see it all together. There is my opinion.Aura: The dictionary basically describes it as a field of subtle, luminous radiation supposedly surrounding a person or object (like the halo or aureola of religious art) that some people are claimed to be capable of observing by means of their third eye. ( thank you Wikipedia)

It's called heat. So yes.ViktorValentine said:Im pretty sure that psychic auras are a complete load of arse gravy. Radioactive aura? Do our bodies give off radiation?
I often can tell which family member is at the door when they come in, but I think that's down to how their walk sounds, what order they do things in rather than some psychic crap.Jedamethis said:The force is strong in this onebernthalbob616 said:Same here. I get that too, but I wish I could tell who it was. Everytime I time I try to surprise someone who I can 'feel' is coming, I get their name wrong
OT: Not in the spiritual sense, we probably do [whatever everyone else who had scientific explanations said]
