Yeah, that's what it is. This man is a genius.

Although it might also be that they promised not to have sex until they're married.

I myself am celibate (though not for marriage or religious purposes) so I can't comment. Though its a bit strange that they share a bed yet have no sexual contact.
Ive got to say, Is this out of choice?

"I can'nae get any so ill say im celebate" - My friend does the same. Me myself, Well after being single for a year (tomorrow shall be 1 year) im proud to admit im not celebate, but just seem unable to go out and meet people.

I'm celibate because I got crushed bad when I first had sex so I've decided to wait for someone whom I love and loves me back.

That's being celibate.

Fair enough, You seem to qualify. It does annoy me though when people say "im celibate" when they're 20 Stone aged 17, Sweaty & have the personality like...Westwood.

Its like your not celibate, your an idiot who quite clearly has no social skills.

Incidently with your description...I kinda had a pregnancy scare with my ex (she was late....Wasnt pregnancy, long story) and since then ive been clearly offered, To the point of being dragged into a tent at a festival, But wasnt going to go no further.

So yeah, Looks like i'll have to join the C brigade.

It's strange, but I see nothing wrong with it.

As for me, I guess I could be in a sexless relationship if we both agreed on it and loved each other that much, but that seems more like a strange friendship than a sexual relationship. Since sexual relationships by definition consist of sexual components such as kissing, making out, or fucking. Now if she instigates and I said no, and she couldn't deal with it, I'd probably break it off. I guess I could let her sex another guy while we just had our own thing, but that seems bizarre when we could just be friends since we're not in that much of a sexual relationship anyway.

I know a guy who chooses to be celibate (even inside a marriage), and won't elaborate why, besides that it's not for religious reasons. I don't bug him about it, since it's none of my business.

For a second I thought you were saying I was an idiot with no social skills.

And it wasn't pregnancy with me and my ex. We...did the do if you will and I told her I loved her, she told me she could never love someone like me.

I was crushed. I'm celibate and waiting for someone who I love and who loves me back. That's why I'm celibate.

Nahh, I didnt mean that. You actually have a good enough reason to say your celibate.

But we all know of people who are like that. Y'now, "Celibate", or "waiting for that special someone", When you know deep down they just wouldnt be able to get it if they tried.

That's true. The type of nerds who are so nerdy that even women with a nerd fetish wouldn't like them and they say they're abstinent because they can't get any.

Though, I usually associate people who say they're celibate but they wouldn't be able to turn it down if someone wanted to get it on with them.

I went out with a girl for over a year without sex. She just plain refused, for moral reasons and wanting to keep her virginity until the right time. Our relationship was fine and loving. Sex is not always needed.

...Too bad she fucked another guy shortly after we broke up. Yay self esteem!!

It is odd. I mean, sex, especially if you've been with someone and living together for two years, can be a great thing for a relationship. It brings you closer to eachother.

If they plan to marry eventually, it would be a rude awakening if they're not sexually compatible, y'know? :shrugs: To each his own I suppose.

It's pretty weird, yeah. At least their relationship is now built better on them as persons until then and they'll all be happy. Unless... one of them turns out to be horrible in the sack!
I bet the guy is impotent, that's why.

It would fit, wouldn't it?
Both good points.

Good God, I would not be OK with that.
If the guy specifically thinks that he needs to save himself for marriage, then more power to him for being able to walk the walk.

But... yea. I like to have a sex life.
I have nothing wrong with people who save themselves, I would never try to persuade a girl who wanted to, otherwise. I just know its something I cannot do.
I still think that it is weird that they would still share the same bed for something like that. I would find the temptation way too difficult to deal with...

I've denied sex when it's been offered, and I'm not gay.

My friend was drunk and we were good friends at the time. She came up and said she was sorry she didn't date me when I asked her out a couple months back.(I asked her out and she was about ready to tell me she just got a boyfriend.)and she told me how pissed she was at her boyfriend and wanted to "make it up to me."

I knew she was drunk, and I knew she would regret it, and it was probably only because she probably wanted payback against her dick-head boyfriend.(can't blame her.) So I said no and put up the excuse "I wouldn't want to be a dad, I can barely take care of myself these days, let alone a baby." and then she said I was a nice guy and proceeded to make up and out with her dick-head boyfriend the next day.

This Karma krap oughta be real or I'm gonna go apesh@t
