What's Berlin like? I've always fancied going.

As for me, where I was born is famous for having the bejesus bombed out of it by the Germans in World War II, and it's also the the home of Jaguar (the car, not the cat :p). The town I live in now is famous for being home to the world's first ever iron bridge (it's called Ironbridge, fancy that...) and the town got its name from Thomas Telford, a prominent engineer and architect.

For those of you from Tennessee, what about Jack Daniel's?
Its a pretty interesting place, not really a city but a collection of smaller cities grown together. The only anomaly is the new center they build in the last 15 years or so.

You should go, I'd say.

Certainly not Austin.

San Marcos.

Same basic principle. There isn't as much live music here, but I can walk anywhere I want to and there isn't any bad traffic here.

My town is popular around here for the festival we hold in August, and for the high school marching band.

7-time state champs, honey.

Well, St.John's is home to the oldest continuing sporting event in North America. The Royal St. John's Regatta has been running for over 184 years.

When Oprah was sued for making disparaging remarks regarding beef, the trial took place in my home town of Amarillo.

One of the crew members of the last flight of Space Shuttle Columbia (Rick Husband) was raised in Amarillo. The airport now bears his name.

One of those implicated in the now infamous attempt to kidnap children in the wake of the Hatai earthquake is a resident of Amarillo. They, much to my surprise, returned to a Hero's Welcome.

Those traveling on I-40 will probably have seen a billboard advertising Amarillo's most famous restaurant: The Big Texan. Usually this advertisement is a reference to the famous challenge where, if one can eat a 72 ounce steak and all the side dishes within an hour, the meal is free.

It should be noted that I am no longer a resident of Amarillo as I have since moved to Austin, TX. I'm sure the city is famous for a great many somethings but I have not lived here long enough to figure out what that might be.

I live in Exmouth, which is apparently the second biggest town in Devon, only not being titled a city officially by mere technicalities. I think it had something to do with the number of churches or something. And to me, I know it as a perfect image of the kind of town that gets invaded by zombies/giant bugs/flying saucers/etc in 50s B-movies. Seriously, if you factor out the fact that this is in England, and compare a picture of Exmouth to Still creek from Case zero, it's barely different.

Oh, and I swear it has the biggest stoner population in England. Most of the people I know have no clue where they are half the time.

From what I can tell my hometown used to be a big place for music acts to come down, a long time ago, long before I was born.
Recently though, it's 'famous' for the fact it was hit hard by the recession and almost everything closed.
And the town next to ours seems to have a severe spider problem. Unsettling.
