Why do people say this? Is it ironic? Because it's wrong. Every good character in every Call of Duty has been either British or Russian. Infinity Ward has a hard on for the SAS and the Soviet Union which they cannot contain.

America FUCK YEAH patriotism is what caused the deaths of 30,000 US soldiers plus potentially millions of civilians in Call of Duty universe. The bad guy in MW2 was one of those guys. American interventionism in Russian caused WW3. The Russians didn't invade because they were Commies looking to destroy the American way of life. They were retaliating. And every step of the way, Soap and Price, men so British their facial hair wear crowns, save the world. Every. Time. It makes no sense.

I know it's a vain hope, but make the campaign at least close to as good as the one in the original Modern Warfare and I will be perfectly content with that game.

I know that's never going to happen though so I'm almost certainly not going to buy it .

Call of Duty is a pretty solid franchise but, in my opinion, the video game market is saturated with these games. I don't want it to go the way of Guitar Hero. That being said, you can't judge anything off of a teaser so I'll wait and see what the inevitable gameplay videos have to offer.

I was kinda planning to buy it but this just put me off. First word on the screen is "America". Then we have some dude speaking in russian.

....Really? Americans and russians again? Come on...

That and I took a look at the screenshots and quickly noticed that the only proper one looked EXACTLY like Black Ops. Jesus Christ. Who even buys this shit anymore?

It better be running on a new engine and have dedicated servers. If so, I might even preorder it for the multiplayer. If not, fuck off Activision, go die in a hole you pieces of shit. I would rather have EA at the top again.

So if they made it Americans vs. say, Iraq, it would be better?
In MW, the main (Most important) character is from the UK.
I don't think EA will be at the top again, because they are trying to play catch-up with Activision, with the new MoH, not to say that it was bad, it just really wanted to be CoD.
IW has always made a new engine for their games, so it's safe to say this one will, and if you are a PC Guy, it will probably have dedicated servers.
OT: For all the shit that IW got, I'll defend them, because they have less time to work on their games than Treyarch, with MW2, they had to improve a lot from the previous engine, but Treyarch just uses IW's engines, not to say they make bad games, it's just they have essentially more time. In theory, MW2 was a fucking awesome game! If they just released one patch, that fixed a few flaws, I think most people would be playing that now then Black Ops.

I agree, Last Stand is bullshit, but I think Ghost isn't too bad, it's been in every CoD since 4. Ghost Pro is slightly annoying, but I don't really use any Kill Streaks that it blocks.
(If anyone says I am defending it because I use it, I don't I use Hardline or FJ)

No IW is still in, alongside Slugehammer, and Raven, all making one game.

The more I think about it, the more im done with COD. Black Ops was just... Damn. I dont even know what to say. I got to 5th prestige and gave up on that game, started playing Battlefield again. That fucking hit detection man... That fucking hit detection.

I'm inclined to agree. After I spent a painful half hour ragin at Black OPs today where my bullets seemed to be made of paper or feathers, I have no wish to re-visit it any time soon.

Hell, I even have clips in my file share of getting accidental kills by shooting 3-4 feet to the side of dudes.
