I know it's nowhere near enough to judge the game as of yet, but they are bringing the battles to the big cities. Very smart move.

Here's hoping they manage to pull of that old charm that CoD4 managed to have. MW2 still had a solid enough campaign, but it just wasn't quite as good.

And bring slow mode single player back. That shit was awesome.

Why are people discussing this, excitedly even? It's Modern frickin Warfare 3, the third clone - I'm sorry, "sequel" - whose release was set in stone before MW2 was even announced. There will be nothing new in it, there is nothing surprising about it, and it will only continue to hold back (though I'd call it vicious murder of) what was once the most awesome genre in gaming.

For the love of god, stop talking about it, stop thinking about it (the devs and publisher sure aren't), and above all stop buying it.

Ok, it's a little unclear, but it says something like:
"One, destroy enemy reliance on..." and something else. Couldn't really catch the last part.

Sounds like the first part of a list of objectives. Maybe you play as Russians again, like in World at War.

One could hope. God forbid that Infinity Ward does something along the lines of a two sided Campaign, playing as American and Russian troops to perhaps give something akin to a realistic portrayal of the murky realities of the conflict with a more in depth reasoning and examination other than 'That's the villian! Kill him! Russians in the White House! Kill them! Those guys look different! Kill them!"


Heh, I just lol'd at the thought.

What Do I want to see? Well, I cant find it now, but there was atleast several videos on youtube (courtesy of Thunder) that talked about some of that leaked MP info. The one thing that is going to piss me off to no end is the fucking 1887 making its return (with a more modern look). I only hope its nerf greatly from the MW2, and not able to be duel wielded. Also, make all shotguns primary weapons.

Another image also had a M4 with duel sights, so im hoping that is something awesome, and not just a mock sniper scope for assault rifles (if the fucking things arent OP enough). And another picture had a M$ with a undermount grenade, holosight, and suppressor; so I hope this means more than multiple attachment on you gun at one time, thus removing the need for the Bling/Warlord perk.

I would say something about the knife... but I doubt they changed anything with it, its still the cheapest piece of shit in COD.

I am looking forward to MW3, I will probably be pre-ordering it. I have noticed though that COD, and Halo not only have the worst fans, but they have the worst antifans as well. I have never seen another game where so many people go into a thread just to say how awful the game is and how everyone who likes it is a moron. Congratulations for being worse than the worst fans in gaming, enjoy your trophies.

I agree with all of those, especially the goddamn knife, and like you, am a big Thunder viewer (in fact, I made his theme song!)

Multiplayer: Make it identical to MW1. Seriously, I know they'll be some actually GOOD features from MW2 missing, but it's totally worth it.

Single Player: I don't know, maybe a little longer? Other then that, I have absolutely no complaints.

Spec Ops: Have Spec Ops. That is all.

Make it so I can jump in to ANY Spec Ops game. I hated the fact that you could only play with friends, because once my friends got all the stars and the trophies, no one wanted to play anymore.
Also, co-op campaign would be good. The ENTIRE campaign, including sneaky sniper missions.

I loved MW2, singleplayer, SpecOps and multiplayer, and I'm probably going to love MW3. If only they didn't torpedo MW2 into the ground by not giving it dedicated servers, a lot less people whould've bought the (in my opinion) abysmally bad Black Ops.

I just hope Activision don't try to kill this one too. If it doesn't have dedicated servers, a vote kick system, or good weapon balancing (and I swear, if it pulls the same weapon balancing shit as Black Ops did, where a certain SMG was more lethal than a sniper rifle, I'm going to be so pissed), AND a beta for people to play, the entire game is a complete waste of time.

Considering how Activision quietly executed Infinity Ward and made Treyarch it's new prize puppy, I wouldn't be surprised if all three of those teams have to work doubly hard not to have their game ruined by either Activision or Treyarch, because there's nothing stopping either of them from destroying the project. Treyarch could release new DLC for Black Ops within a day or so of MW3's release (or something of that nature) and Activision... well, they can torpedo MW3 just like they torpedoed MW2.

That last section could just be me being paranoid.

If MW3 has the customization and dedicated servers of Black Ops (minus the lag and severly messed up spawning), the same high quality campaign as CoD4, and the same fun factor as MW2... we are looking at a seriously good game, a game that might even steamroll Black Ops.

It's a long shot, but it just might happen.

Aw, damn it. I was hoping to not get excited by the next Call of Duty game, but even just the reveal of major cities OUTSIDE the USA getting some love piqued my interest. Okay, I guess that I'll put myself down as cautiously optimistic that it'll be more like CoD4 than MW2. Regardless, there's no way that I'm buying this on launch day--I'm going to need to see it in action (and not promotionally) before I make my call.

I hope the campaign is longer and as good as the other two. Also I hope that this game is the last of the modern warfare series. I want them to give the game a proper ending and then stop beating the dead horse that is Call of Duty.

As for the multiplayer I thought MW2 did it pretty well. I would like to hear the guns sound more realistic. They also need to reduce the number of kills needed for the kill streaks because not everyone is good enough to get 25 kills without dying(or boosting). Snipers need to do less damage in non vital spots. And the community needs to gets better, though I know there is not much that can be done about that.
