As much as I hate to say this, Mr Thompson must be allowed to peddle his bile. This will serve gaming in the long term - mostly because it makes those who oppose gaming look like screaming Luddites.

Secondly, if gamers lobby their respective governments enough times and show that they are mature - they will earn the respect (and annoyance) of their elected representatives. Spouting hyperbolic threats only makes us look like immature children throwing a tantrum.

While folks like Mr Thompson probably cannot be reasoned with, governmental types can - but only if there's enough of us to drown out the drivel that Thompson and co spouts.

Didn't he also try to sue facebook for some ridiculously high amount of money because people made Jack Thompson hate groups? He lost that one too. Also Bully, Mortal Kombat, GTA, Call of Duty MW2 etc. Hh didn't win any of those. He's such an entertainer and he doesn't even realize it.
