Well, when you go up against a group as big as gamers and the like, he should have expected something like this to happen.
Of course we are not gonna be happy about what he is saying. When people who are on the internet aren't happy what do we do? Make an anti-whatever group.
And some are stupid and immature enough to make 'threats' like that. That is just people for you though.

Thompson makes a "comeback" and the first thing he does is troll the interwebs looking for something really popular with his name in it and attempt to sue, and that something happened to be Facebook. Though I hate Facebook with a passion, I can say that his case may not get anywhere because of some constitutional stuff mixed with his nutcase personality.

I wonder if he's gonna make an attempt to sue the Escapist because there's a topic about him threatening a comeback?

His suit against Facebook is baseless. You can't sue a service provider for the posts or actions of its users. See Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act referenced in the article.

For instance, if I were to post JACK THOMPSON IS A BRAINLESS IDIOT WHO DESERVES TO DIE IN A FIRE, he could not sue The Escapist for my post.

A real lawyer would know this.
