As a few of you guessed and hoped, Jim will indeed be joining the site.
SO exciting! In his Deadly Premonition Part 3 on youtube he kind of suggested he had a new job, and I assumed it was here :D

This pretty much means that I don't have to go anywhere else for gaming stuff, besides the occasionally foray onto Twitch and YouTube. :D

Part of me wants Jim to join the others in the Podcat, but the rest of me wonders if they could handle being in his presence, as one could attempt to handle being in the presence of Helios without bursting into flames and going mad simply by being in the periphery of his radiance.
When we discussed the job, Podcat appearances were requested as part of my duties. It'll be on a call-in basis (barring those moments when I'm at HQ for things), but Podcat is on my to-do list. :)

I am very pleased to hear you're joining the editorial staff, Jim. I've been following this site for a long time and have always felt it lacked a cohesive, strong voice in the review-o-sphere. Don't get me wrong, the site has seen its fair share of decent reviewers, but no game review I've ever read here can stand up to the quality stuff you cranked out during your time with Destructoid.

Here's hoping you can use your new pull with the site to get Willem Dafoe on as a guest columnist. Think of the possibilities!

Oh well, I'm freaking happy! But you should prepare for a barrage of "PODCAT?! PODCAT! HEY JIM WHERE'S PODCAT?!".

As long as it doesn't involve a Alien: CM sex doll I'm fine with anything.
I look forward to your many sexual adventures and reviews Jim. :D

Now if I could see anything ... it would be you, AngryJoe, Totalbiscuit and Yahtzee going out to downtown in a hangover like movie but with games ... and David Cage as that monkey for emotions. (I'm kidding ... I think?)

His cat avatar was the talk of the Avatar town with it being all winking and everything.

... I'll buy that avatar for ... a shrubbery!
But all seriousness, hai Fappy~

Herro to you as well!

In a Blazblue mood lately and the new mediocre anime adaption produced this super cool gun-summoning sequence that I just couldn't pass up. Mao will probably be back in a month or so. He always comes back ;3

It is fantastic that Jim has joined the Escapist team full time. Unfortunately, I feel much less reasons to follow Dtoid as often now but it makes this website even better now. I always enjoyed Jim's reviews the most on dtoid plus I'm glad the dtoid trio are creating a new podcast. I need to listen to that later today. Congrats Jim on the new job!

I knew Jim was going to join up on The Escapist. It's been trending that way for a long time, with Jim progressively pervading himself more and more into The Escapist's features and its culture. It was just a matter of time, really. Besides, The Escapist needs a personality like him after the loss of Susan Arendt.

You have no idea how happy it makes me and my flat mate to hear this sir! We were pretty sure this would happen as you seemed to be appearing more and more on the site, but to have it confirmed is awesome to be sure :D

Well, Mr. Sterling. You are going to be the Reviews Editor, correct? Will you be making sure that 5 = Average and such? I remember you did a video on something along those lines before (very tired, please ignore my lack of brevity).
If all goes as scheduled, tomorrow you will see my plans for the scoring system.

I think it was a pretty logical move. Probably will make managing his deadlines easier with it all being due to the same company.

Their loss is our gain.

Welcome to the editorial staff of Escapist Jim, it's good to have you here even more than before. Looking forward to seeing you on the podcat whenever possible.

The first thing i thought was: what is going to happen to podtoid. Seems like he's remaking the podcast with the new name "the dismal jesters". :D
